What do all other all other supers have in common? They all reduce taken damage (I don't know about sunsinger, but I'm still pretty sure). Gunslinger does not. I end up taking a rocket and dying while I cast it. A lot of times you end up dying after one or two shots. Please add that damage reducer that is on the others.
Also: Please answer the poll only if you have used both Gunslinger and Bladedancer

Edited by magburner: 3/5/2015 4:18:56 PMThe greatest ability of a Gunslinger is not their super, though it is a little weak. The Gunslinger true 'super', is the Gunslinger's Trance, which turns any gun into a laser.

I think it's fine (I play gunslinger PvE and PvP) it follows the traits of the hunter: mobility and mad damage output. It's a 1 shot kill from almost any distance the only change I could think of is maybe a bit more PvE damage against bosses, to make it where it at least does the same damage to bosses as other supers (against normal enemies im perfectly fine with its damage). For example golden gun on atheon during times vengeance does about the same damage as a non crit sniper so it's only use is oracles, but oh well gunslinger 4 lyfe.

I don't use a hunter, but I've played against many times in PvP obviously (mostly as a titan) and the usual reaction to Arc Blade is Fist of Havoc, since Hunters shields are about as powerful as a titan while theirs using FoH their usually well protected, and that's about one of the only ways to guarantee you live. Golden Gun however...I kinda feel sorry for them since they have pretty much the same amount of health as they normally do, my reaction would either be, the dreaded SHOUDER CHARGE/KNEE TO THE FACE, or just pull out my shotgun and give em a quick blast. With that in mind, I think the Shield on Arc blade should be Nerfed slightly, and the sheild for Golden Gun buffed slightly, To balance out the hunters supers. But like I said, I don't use a hunter, I'm not too savvy on the mechanics, that's just what I think should be done.

They're weak but offensively theyre beast. Two shots break titan bubble

It is the most deadly in midrange becouse of its precision You can choose if you want put one there the others there or all three in one target With the helmet you got four shots and i mostly use this one helmet

It's rock paper scissors. I like Bladedancer way more in PvP, but yesterday in this one match every time I used Bladedancer I would round the corner and this guy with golden gun would be standing there and kill me in one shot. So he just negated my killing his whole team. His super affectively cancelled out my super. That's the way the game works, one super is good against certain players, but weak against others.

Golden gun can be better for crowd control than any other super if used and spec'd correctly. I actually just deleted several possible statements about underpowered because J can't really find any. Gunslinger is very well balanced, but if it doesn't suit your playstyle, it will be very difficult to use it to it's full potential.

Its also the only super that requires even the slightest effort to get kills with. I mean its still easy but my God as a bladebancer you can close your eyes and tap right bumper to get 4 kills

Gunslinger OP af
-
So you give up defense for range what's your point if your good with it you can snipe people across the map with it common man.
-
The hunter supers to me are the most annoying ones to deal with in pvp. Especially blade dancer, you just have to try run away.

Edited by Darches: 3/6/2015 3:02:10 AMGolden gun is easily the best super, supported by exotic armor that literally makes it 33% more effective. Tripmine is the best grenade, hands down. Unlike the stupid lightning grenade, this one sticks to people too! With skill, throwing knife is the best melee skill (highest range and damage) and can be SPAMMED. If you DO miss, you can have a backup. Scavenger is also the most reliable perk in the game (everyone picks up ammo... I hope), and having more of the best grenade and best melee is just plain awesome. I don't think Gunslinger is OP but it has extremely high kill potential and simple yet effective skills (except circle of life, that's the worst perk in the game). About damage resistance: Arc Blade is the only offensive super with innate damage resistance. Without that resistance, Bladedancer would be GARBAGE. Other forms of resistance come from perks and exotic armor. For example, if a Sunsunger self revives, you now know he can't have damage resistance until he deals melee damage. If a Striker uses Shoulder Charge, you now know he can be killed before finishing FoH. If you DO see a Sunsinger self revive, RUN. It's what your class is good at! Waste their super time and laugh at their failure. Golden Gun pierces through all that resistance anyway and turns off people's supers, but unlike FoH YOU STILL HAVE SHOTS LEFT. If that's not powerful enough for you, then nothing is.

I think golden gun could use a pve boost and maybe a little more damage reduction in pvp I guess. I have had all 3 characters .

As a gunslinger, I'd love it. But does it need it? Not in my opinion. Yes you have to aim. Yes you can be killed while using it. But it can kill from pretty dang far away in one hit. That's really your damage reduction ... Range. And you can try to pick off individuals, rather than waiting for that once-a-game moment (if that) for multiple kills in one super. It's already a great super, which is why I main it. That said, it could definitely use a damage buff or crit ability in PvE.

6 gunslinger control teams with crest of alpha lupis. Nuff said.

Edited by BunkerGATE13: 3/6/2015 2:12:24 AMI first started playing as a gunslinger. Until I discovered blade dancer.. As a blade dancer you get a super that smashes anything that gets near with just some spamming of the trigger.. As where gunslinger.. you only get 3 well placed shots to work with. Later on.. I had to switch over to gunslinger again. To solo some bosses at range with the golden gun.. That's one thing the excel at. Now I play a titan. For the superior jump. Because I like to be high
-
Gunslinger also gets up to four one shot kills. Having only hunters answer is just opening up room for an extremely bias poll. And of course you're going to get taken down by a rocket during animation, you're vulnerable and should activate behind a wall. Gunslinger is the only super people actively run away from as it can take on literally anything if you use the super effectively. It doesn't need damage reduction because the kill time is instant from any distance.
-
Gunslinger is fine in PVP. It does, however, need a damage buff in PVE.
-
Void walker doesn't reduce damage. Sunsinger doesn't reduce damage. Ward of dawn is a bubble shield (enough said there) Golden Gun is a guaranteed three kills in crucible if you're any good with it. And with keyhole and combustion it's extremely volatile in pve all in all its a pretty good super.
-
Voidwalker Nova bomb doesn't reduce damage. I can assure you.
-
I have all 3 classes. Titan striker has the option to reduce damage but since it is outweighed by everything else, it's not used as often. BUT golden gun has the most range. Maybe no damage resistance was their way to balance it
-
No way - golden gun is the most devastating super in pvp going. It's capability in getting multiple kills is insane. I have more way of the gun awards than any super. Hunter is the pvp go to character. Pve it's on par with every super. It's just pve the invisibility helps you and the team a lot more.
-
I've used all classes. Each has their strengths and weaknesses. Hunters are by far the best in Pvp. Sure their armor is poor, but they can CHASE you with their supers. Titans and Warlocks hit in one big crash and thats it.
-
I see how it could. I have a titan and when a gunslinger pulls out a golden gun I fist of havoc him. Even if he shoots me I can still kill him, even without the unstoppable perk. Hunter classes tend to get the short end of the stick in general. This also applies to arc blade; normally being hit by arc blade is a one hit kill but if I use my super in time, I can live. This doesn't happen for foh vs foh. (I have not experienced nova bomb vs foh) On the contrary the trip mine grenade is probably one of he most powerful grenades if not the most. Turning invisible is also extraordinarily helpful. Hunters just don't typically have a lot of armor or recovery to make up for lack of armor. My advice, use your agility with triple jump or blink, sliding, and a shotgun to confuse enemies (pvp). Or use the invisibility to your advantage and snipe people. Just beware the sniper hunters. Don't camp though. No one respects a camper.

Edited by AdamMc1536: 3/6/2015 1:00:08 AMIf you are crying about the best super of the 6 then you are a -blam!-

I'm a warlock. I voted no. Deal with it
