Titan Exotic Gauntlets, Ruin Wings look pretty bad ass and if the perks are something to go buy these are a must have!
But do they even work? Heard a lot of people complain about not finding more heavy.
Ruin Wings owners, enlighten me.

Ya they work. But its either a flood or a drought.
-
they're badass but I wish shaders changed colors :/ as far as it working, yeah it always gives me double ammo from heavy drops but I honestly can't tell the difference in frequency. does that mean it's not working? probably not its just a very small change. either way picking up 4 HoC rockets with one heavy is super useful. ruin wings have been sort of gathering dust since Xur sold heavy synths and I bought him out lol
-
I have a Valedictorian 9-44 with Surplus, Field Scout and Clown Cartridge. If I had Ruin Wings, I could probably run an infinite rocket build...
-
I've done strikes where I've gotten over 100 rockets
not kidding, 5 rockets per pack and way over 20 packs
and some where I only see one or two packs per strike.. Seems pretty dumb but oh well
-
I either get nothing for a while or I will find so much heavy I can't even use it all.
-
With them I find three rockets per box instead of one rocket ammo drops the same though it seems
-
It's hit or miss, sometimes you get nothing but other times you'll be able to use your heavy like a primary.
-
Sometimes
-
For me they have been very random and erratic. I honestly can't say that I get more ammo drops with them than without. I also have some heavy MachineGuns that have that perk, and I seem to get more random heavy drops with them than with the Ruin Wings.
-
I be runnin gjally like a primary

Edited by JoeMamasfat: 3/1/2015 2:28:11 AMThey work... But the question is how it works. I have a feeling that it doesn't increase the drop rate of heavy ammo, but it instead augments your attack to force drop heavy ammo. It's rather simple to explain if I told why I think this. I was soloing the lamp maze just for the kills. I supered a group of 12 or so thralls. They all dropped heavy ammo. Playing my titan. That doesn't happen... Or rather it shouldnt. Now the only way way that could have happened was if my next attack was augmented to force drop heavy ammo... 12+ thrall died as a result of a single attack. Of course, this is not proven. Just a theory that needs A LOT of testing.

All the time. I love them. In that first room where you battle Fallen and Hive on the Omnigul strike, I always end up with at least 10 Heavy Ammo boxes.
-
Sometimes you will swim in heavy ammo and sometimes you will swim in heavy ammo Yes they worked really good
-
Whenever I use a machine gun, I typically get AT LEAST 1 drop per clip, which gives me an entire full clip with just the one drop. I feel like I am the only one who actually got working ruin wings!
-
Mine do not work
-
might be w wives tale but. heavy ammo seems to drop way more from enemies killed by collateral damage with firefly equipped weapons. But they do increase ammo gleaned from drops, and stack with the surplus mod. Ruin Wings have absolutely no effect in crucible though
-
"Ruined wings" Pre patch I got more heavy when I took them off. Played entire strikes and missions with no drops or one or two. Post patch it seems better. I'm glad to see I'm not alone.
-
They don't work like they are supposed to.
-
Amazingly. I can use my Gjallarhorn like it's a primary.
-
I've been through quick raids without a heavy drop, but overall they are well worth it. I wear them most of the time.
-
Sometimes they work great......but sometimes not at all..........well even if heavy isnt dropping a lot, they do give you more ammo per heavy drop.
-
Yes most of the time but not always
-
Sometimes...

They are BEAUTIFUL. The ammo doesn't always drop super often, to be honest, but it is much more than without the Wings on. But the extra ammo in every pack? Oh man. That makes such a huge difference. One pack holds 4 rockets for Ghorn, instead of 2. If I'm not running my hyper-beefy Force Barrier build with two shotguns, I'm running Ruin Wings and Ghorn. Did it last night. Never ran out of Heavy ammo.
-
I've found that sometimes they don't seem to work. I've gone a whole strike with zero heavy drops. Then when heavy finally drops there's 4 or 5 boxes at once. It does give you 4 rockets per heavy instead of 2, which is great.

My experience goes like this...equip ruined wings equals heavy for days...move to next strike heavy for days...move to next strike where's my heavy at lol I feel like it's on a timer sometimes
