Error Code Oyster No FIx?

So yesterday, 2/25, I downloaded the update and it would not install on Destiny saying Error code Oyster. I deleted the App on my PS4 and it still says Oyster. I then deleted the whole game and when I went to re -install the game, it will not finish either the update or the game itself. It has been exactly 24 hours now. Any help would be appreciated. Also, I am on a hard wired connection so my internet is great. Please tell me there is a fix for this.

  • I've been having the same issue for the last month. It has been a technology hell. I had just purchased the 360 version of Destiny, so that I could play with my 360 crew. "Although I already have the xb1 eddition." When I begin the in game update, it gets to around 14% then either black screens or error code oysters. I have tried everything* I have made sure I have 100g+ of avalibe storage, I have cleared all system cache info on both internal memory and 320G hard drive, I have cycled my wifi router, tried a ethernet connection, reinstalled the game, purchased second Destiny boot disk, and I tried installing the boot disk then updating. None of these methods have worked. Although I came close to a possible solution. After the title update, the progress bar you get in the game menu is actully downloading 10 data patckets. "Rangeing from 50mb-5g" These are titled Destiny Compatibility Pack, it starts with Pack 10 then after that 09 and so fourth. But when the update crashes the unfinished packet remains on my user accessible storage. It is labled "incomplete" although I can not interact with an incomplete file on my 360, when I select Delete. I'm prompted with "this item is an active download and cannot be deleted." Then I can select the download packet in the xbox store and resume it. So I was able to piece together packs 10-05 then this no longer worked. There seems to be no help forums or any sources for this issue, its seems to be pretty rare. Any help would be great.

    • Same issue. Didnt receive an answer to my post last night. I ended up installing the entire game, but it didn't help. 0 out of 10.10 mb update and then Oyster on 360.

      • Hey Joshua! See this [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11907]article[/url] on the Oyster error code. Aside from being hard wired, have you tried power cycling your equipment? Give this a shot and let me know if it helps! Good luck out there, Guardian!
