Since Bungie said that they would only consider this if people wanted it - please make it happen. Not many people have that core group of 5 friends that they can arrange the same time and play. Even with joining a clan we still need to use outside sources to find a team. That itself is already matchmaking, just not done through Destiny/Bungie. I do believe that people would play more if they had a guaranteed match making. Possible alternative - normal mode would be matchmaking while the hard mode of it would be by fireteam only.
