Trading

Personally i feel like trading should be in the destiny and there always should have been, except the only problem is that everyone is afraid of level 30's giving level 20's exotic weapons and armor. i have an idea of how this could not happen and trading still be in the game and kept balanced and fair. have weapons and gear only be able to trade with others of its sort (you can only trade rare items with rare items and purple with purple etc...) i feel this could add a certain umph to the game and have it not be overpowered and people giving each other items for free. i would love for this to be in the game whether it would be only in dlc or for everyone. i just want this idea to come to life and have it implemented into the game. let me know what you think and how well you think it would work out.

  • Remember diablo 2? We used to grind just for good drops to trade. But that would never work here.......nobody liked D2 anyway right?

That will just ruin the game. This games going to be filled with a bunch of whining little kids begging people to take their trades. If you really are desperate for exotics then just do a nightfall or a raid. If they add trading then people wouldn't do nightfalls or do bounties because they can just trade for the exotics they want

  • It's not going to happen. Too many people have put hundreds of hours into the game collecting exotic gear and weapons the hard way. Those people don't want their hard work to be for nothing, even if they have 6 Hawkmoons, 9 Jellybeans ect...ect...A trade system will make more people but hurt than Xur ever will, and "it will break deh game! Oh no!!" I personally don't care either way because the RNG sucks enough to warrant the addition, but I feel if everyone were able to get the exotics that they have been playing to get since launch, those try hards will whine and cry until Bungie Nerfs everything thus making the game more pointless than it all ready is. (Run on FTW) Just continue to grind and grind and pray for the exotics and legendaries you will probably NEVER get. It's what keeps some idiots coming back, while others, like me, realize the flaw in the drops rate and RNG and gave up on this game months ago.

    • Im missing 3 exotics. Red death, vex, and nechrochasm. I don't care much about either raid gun, but would like the grimiore cards. The red death though, it's the reason I still grind through raids, nightfalls, strikes, and visit Xur at reset every Friday. If i could trade 1 of my ghorns for a red death, id have my gun, but no more reason to play. Trading is not a viable option in a game that already has very little life left in it.

    • You're on to something with the rare/rare, legendary for a legendary deal. As much as I'd like to dislike this idea, I can't find any real, hard flaws to this idea. Of course there'll be some people who take advantage of this by hoarding exotics for their friends, but then, this is mostly negated by the one for one deal. Gun for a gun, armor for armor. Simple and Clean. Obviously there'll be a loophole somewhere, but we're players, not game developers. Bungie can work out the bigger kinks.
