Just wondering how much everyone has spent on Destiny and it's DLC so far. Also knowing how much the first DLC pack cost what are your feelings about buying the next ones? I personally am very happy about how much I spent, I actually didn't buy Destiny until 1-2 months after release.
The reason I finally did buy it was because a store was having a super limited time sale and selling the game for $20.99 CAD or $16.86 USD. Compared to its regular starting price of $73.49 CAD or $59.04 USD. (All prices including tax) Also of course I've bought TDB expansion which cost another $20.99 CAD.
So all in all I'm glad with how much I spent on Destiny, I spent 65% less on a "game" that had 65% less content than any other games that come out. Seems fair, does it not?
What are your thoughts? How much did you pay? Were you patient enough to wait for a sale unlike all the hypnotized sheepdog that bought it day one? Or are you exactly that? Did you end up getting a special edition, do you regret it?
Do you regret how much you spent on Destiny considering something like GTA or Elder Scrolls games cost the same but have probably triple or quadruple the amount of content on day one?
*Edit* hundreds of hours of doing the same thing over and over and over again playing the exact same missions, strikes, bounties, and raids is not the same as spending hundreds of hours on Skyrim just exploring new places all the time and doing new missions all the time. It doesn't matter how you justify how much you paid compared to how much hours you have cause guaranteed after 100 hours you've done everything at least once or twice so every hour after that is extremely repetitive crap. So everyone using the argument of "I have hundreds of hours for $60" is laughable. Okay? So how much of that wasn't doing the exact same thing over and over again? (aside from pvp cause that's all pvp is)

$80 for the game and TDB, and planning on buying all the rest of the expansions.

Played so much that I busted a nut

I got $16 back. I then used that money to finish purchasing a superior game, you'd have to guess which game it was considering any game is better than Destiny.

I bought the white PS4 so the game came with the bundle. Then I received the "expansion pass" (still funny to me that they qualify some half-assed DLC as an expansion) as a gift. I had a great time with the game - until I didn't. Now very few of my friends even play it. Most of us went back to Battlefield 4 to get our multiplayer fix.

I spent a total of 5060 Yen on it, 2900 for the game (used) and 2160 for the DLC. That comes together to about 42 dollars, so I wont complain. I think the game is fun but part of the fun is probably because I did not pay the full price.

Destiny - $15 DLC - $35 Total - $50 not that bad

90 bucks with everything and 1,000 unrecoverable hours.

I'm actually saving money by playing. I used to go out drinking 4 to 7 nights a week. Now cut that down to 1 to 2 nights. Drinking at home is way cheaper than buying girls drinks.
