Let's bond by imagining for a little bit.. 1. I wonder what the destiny world "would have been/could be" if ... Xur sold weapon bounties instead of weapons. Imagine ... Purchasing the bounty and building the regime or the Icebreaker. Imagine what the crucible look like if more people had to work a little harder for those game changing weapons. Sure it is not as easy as a simple purchase, but it is more fulfilling. I imagine a little less post of "what do i do know" themes and more grinding to be a better companion for your clan. 2. I wonder what the destiny "would have been/could be" if ... the shipwright sold ship parts in the form of bounties. Imagine ...the ability to change your ship... For example, I have the rope to heaven. The shipwright is selling one of 5 different wings. Let's say it's call "hive dive." if I kill 250 hive I can turn in the bounty. My rope to heaven will have different wings. Maybe hive inspired. If I do another one the hive dive would NOT be able to be re-equipped until I do it again... 3. I wonder what the destiny world "would have been/could be" if ... Reputation could be earned by killing. Imagine ... wearing a faction mark and gaining +1 reputation for each kill. That may raise questions for further imagining. Would majors be more? Do i lose rep for dying? 4. I wonder what the destiny world "would have been/could be" if ... the game included friendly AI's that patrols (randomly) patrolled areas. I read this idea on reddit and continued to imagine. I could see my self saying, "I'll raid right after i find Elrishon. He's somewhere in the cosmodrome. If i find him i can complete this bounty, plus i'ma trade ascended shards in for some glimmer.
