Would you like to have an area in the tower for raiders to find a team?!
Update: your support for the idea is amazing, I'd like to let you all know that my proposed idea isn't what I really need to see. Lots of you are suggesting different ideas that I also find amazing. I just hope the guys at Bungie would get to read this thread with all of your suggestions in it. Here's to a better raid system.
A lot of people are complaining from the fact that they have to go to external sources other than the game to find a team for raids, this could be a major inconvenience and in a way doesn't let us spend more time in the game itself. On the other hand Bungie stated that they did that so people would be able to get a strong team that cares about communication vs. having a playlist for raids where people could jump out easily.
My suggestion:
Why don't you make a hub in the tower made specifically for guardians seeking a team for raids. I believe that the tower doesn't really have ALL the console player in the same time (I guess they have different servers). So basically the hub would be an area in the tower that could be loaded but can be accessed only from the tower. In this people would be standing and waiting for players to join the hub to send invites and inspect players to see if they have proper raiding gear.
I believe this could be kinda different from roaming around the tower and asking random people to join, at least people in this hub will BE there for the sole reason of joining a raid, I don't think anyone will enjoy the loading time for the tower and then from the tower to the raiding hub just to go AFK or do nothing. Maybe Bungie could add some rules to make sure people there are basically there for a reason.
I really enjoy the game and wish that I could find more reasons for me to spend time in it rather than the forums, even if it's for finding a team to raid with. I wish the tower would be a real social hub for players to interact.
Let me know what you guys think, I hope Bungie would take a look at this if a lot of people could agree to this.

I can tell you right now bungie is not gonna just throw in a hub specifically for raids I mean take the tower with what's already there. You can designate a certain area for people who are looking to raid as long as word gets around to meet in a specific area of the tower that could be a temporary fix for example everyone who wants to find a team can log in load the tower and go to let's say where the speaker is posted up and can message/party invite anyone interested instead mass inviting people roaming about the tower with no success.

2 RepliesI came up with an even simpler fix. Bungie could add 4 flags to the tower. Each one would have writing on them. Two for VoG (normal and hard) and two for CE (normal and hard). Then if you want to raid you just go sit by the flag. Easy and not hard for Bungie to add into the game. Maybe put the flags in the iron banner area since most of that space is unused.

4 RepliesI vote matchmaking for raids. There is no reason not to. If you want a dedicated group join with a fireteam if you are like me and don't know other people with a ps4 but are into raids just join solo and join other similar players. It is such a lame excuse to exclude the majority over the few grievance players out there. If I want to raid I go raid ... It's not like people accidentally join a raid. Dont do this towerhub stuff thats the same situation we're in now. Having to form your own groups.

I would open this up near speaker. That big door. Have panels you go to and sign up. Have patrol teams, ROC teams, Raid Teams, and so on. Oh yes a panel for raid interaction. By default match ups would favor clan and friends list if they are in same roster sign up.

They could use the big courtyard at the back where the iron banner is and divide it between VOG, Crota and the upcoming HoW raids; wall them off like big rooms or physical lobbies. They could have a big interactive message board working how the LFG does. Bungie could even bite their lip and implement the exact same tool as the website uses; literally transferring the website to their tower, effectively admitting the LFG tool is better than whatever they could've done, though. Players, like myself, are getting annoyed at how much time and frustration it takes to actually find 5 more players, let alone 5 players who have appropriate weapons and know what they're doing. But, Bungie love it when we are frustrated and have to attempt raids for hours. So, this whole thing is wholly unlikely. EDIT: I've just realised they already have a 'Fireteam chat' in the tower, but absolutely nobody uses it. Bungie could rework this feature into something that's more engaging and easy to use. Clicking left or right, or whatever it is, on the D pad should bring up a chat list of those looking for help and more players. This could divide into different lobbies like raids, strikes and story missions, making the game more community driven.

The bounty board should just have a menu to list your guardian. On the left your player emblem and light level/grim score like always and you can select an option for your activity. Breaking everything into tabs like raids, nightfall etc. That way people recruiting can pick and choose, scroll over your emblem to inspect you and invite you from the same menu without you having to wait in one spot hoping someone picks you.

2 Replies90% of the time...dropping in with random players ends up with the raid being disbanded or having multiple players joining after randoms decide they've had enough when things aren't going smoothly or because it's taking far too long to complete...you also have to consider if ALL your fire team are well equipped, have complete understanding and knowledge of raid tactics and is also a solid gamer...not to mention having a mic is a definite advantage. How would you weed out the rage gamers, sub standard Guardians and those that will farm a particular chest then drop out the raid!?! Your idea deserves merit and would work in theory, but think it'll fall short in the game leaving players like yourself frustrated. My advise is find 5 players who play on a regular basis and form a small clan...it'll make life so much more fun in every area of the game as you'll be able to build an understanding and friendships resulting in everyone knowing their raid roles. I'm part of a small close knit clan (10 members) who all get on well with each other...we have a laugh but when it comes to raids and assisting other members we take it seriously...resulting in multiple raid completions every week. Make yourself a clan mate...it's the most logical step when serious about raiding

Then you could but equal introduce a matchmaking? But with your idea, most of it :) and you can to equip the people in front of all time. A chat with write function would be very useful for something. Best not only in the Tower but everywhere.

Yeah,why not ? Sometimes we don't have the same time for do it a Raid,specially me,i work,wife and kid...so would be nice that idea.. I hope BUNGIE will read this...i love this idea...a place in the tower for recruiting a team for Raid,very nice.
