Stop making crucible mandatory
The title says it all. Some people love crucible. I personally hate it and think it's broken and awful. I know how to play and usually do well (averaging 4-6 K/D a game) but it isn't fun for me. It's just annoying.
Please stop making it mandatory to play.

1 ReplyWell also stop making PvE mandatory. Add ascendant materials to the loot table of PvP. I'm done with public events (boring) and daily's (hard) for little to no rewards. Raid matchmaking is still not in the game after the f#%king 5 months (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) the game exists today. So that's not an option. Luckily they made pulse rifles better since nobody has ever asked for that.

I love crucible although frustrating at times - list a game that isn't? Bf4? Helicopter -blam!-? Call of duty? Spawn to die to a chopper gunner or over powered kill streak. Or fcking therms nuke in number 2. Titan fall? Spawn to get wiped to an ogre Titan with chain gun or arc cannon? Destiny is still great fun. Just do the bounties to get stuff and leave.

PvE is mandatory to unlock PvP. PvP is only mandatory if you want an exotic bounty gun. So you choose to take on that challenge...nobody is forcing you to do it.

7 RepliesIt isn't mandatory. If you hate the crucible that much, just don't do the bounty. The only part of the game that is "mandatory" is PvE. Because you can't even access The Crucible until you reach level 5. Also, out of all the game's exotic weapons, Bungie has only chosen FOUR that it feels you need to demonstrate prowess in PvP in order to earn. 1. Fate of All Fools 2. Invective 3. Bad Juju 4. Thorn. One can very happily play this game without those weapons. But if you want one of them, then you need to SUCK IT UP and take your lumps. Just like I did.

I can understand the frustration. I play Crucibles to get Crucible marks to get better armor or guns. What is really frustrating is that Crucibles seem so unbalanced... Some players have better weapons that offer one shot kills from a distance. Also, some of us don't have the time to log in big time boku hours on hours worth of play time because... *SPOILER* Some of us WORK and HAVE LIVES outside of Destiny. You should be lucky to get 4-6 kills. I'm lucky if I get even ONE kill! I'm good playing PVE but PVP? Hard to play Crucibles with all the cheese that goes on while playing it... PS: NOT A NOOB... I just play Crucibles with a lot of cheesy players who have no life.

1 ReplyI agree, the weapons are based on crucible standards, practically dictating the entire game after level twenty, I'm not pissed cause it's hard, as a past halo player it's very easy, but it makes PVE a lot less than what I could be. I hope it's just removed in the next destiny.

1 ReplyThank you! I hate how the Crucible is required. I played it a few times and I just don't like it. I also hate how I can only purchase weapons and armor from the Vanguard. FWC, Dead Orbit, and New Monarchy ALL require stupid Crucible marks!!! I can't get crap!!!! And don't get me started with the lack of variety with the Vanguard. It says it's supposed to refresh items every 24 hours but it doesn't. They carry the same crap.

It's not mandatory. But if you want to complete certain bounties you must play it.

You can handle it. Anyone can. Equip the right weapons - depending on the bounty - and play defensively. If you find it too repulsive, then it is your [i]choice[/i] whether to continue. The Crucible portion of the bounty is required, you choosing to accept the bounty is not.
