Exotic armor upgrades pointless?
Am I missing something or is there no point in upgrading exotic armor with xur? I see everything is exactly the same or am I blind? I'm hoping I'm blind cause this bugging me. Lol thanks in advance.

5 RepliesYou're new to destiny? When the dark below dlc launched in early december all post-dlc exotics got an attack boost above 300, the upgrades are for pre-dlc exotics, so that these weapons with attack rating of 300 can compete at activity levels above lvl 30. If you have a post-dlc exotic you're wasting coins buying the upgrades.

1 ReplyIf the armor piece you have now is v2 (36 max light), the only difference possible would be the stat roll (intellect, discipline, strength). Sometimes the one he has for 'upgrade' has a higher stat roll than what you may already have.

3 RepliesThat's for upgrading exotics with pre-DLC stats(30 light. 300 damage) to post DLC stats(36 light 331 damage). Also I'm glad to see someone was smart enough to check before upgrading.
