I think the House of Kings are a superior force to the other houses. basically, If the Houses of Devils, Exiles and Winter are regular Fallen Troops, then the Kings are like Special Ops or something. an elite force that only the most powerful Fallen can be a part of. assuming the Strikes take place AFTER the Story, Winter's Kell, Draksis, is dead, so the House of Winter need a new leader. they rescued Aksor so that he could lead the House of Winter.
the Battle of Twilight Gap proved that if the Fallen Houses unite as one army, they are an incredibly powerful force. Aksor could have helped the houses of Kings and Winter to become close allies, and maybe even convince the Devils and Exiles to join forces as well. then the Fallen as a whole could attempt to take the last City again, while it is strategically weak.
but that's just my theory.

I'm not so sure about that. The Fallen seem to be under more of a Feudal system, similar to the Shogun during the Sengoku era in Japan. House of Kings is clearly one of (if not the) dominant among them. It could simply be that Winter thought they could curry favor with them by lending a hand. IIRC, the grimoire cards mention that The Fallen aren't all that crazy about the Darkness the way the Hive are. If anything they strike me as being the most akin to us, in that something came along (probably The Darkness) and just ****-kicked their civilization. So if banding together gets them what they want, even if they don't particularly like each other, maybe that's what happened? Or you know, someone at Bungie may have just dropped the ball too that's always a possibility lol.
-
This makes the most sense. The Strikes, to the best of my knowledge, do take place after the story, so it makes sense that the House of Winter, now down their Kell, would be looking for a new leader. If they rescue a high-ranking member of the House of Kings, that person could be their new Kell.

You know to much

Lol great story too bad it wasn't initially in the story!

Albeit a very plausible theory.

Edited by DarkReignX: 2/6/2015 10:34:54 PMAnyone know the technology used to make the cell is the same as the walkers? (look at the legs and general makeup of both) If the Queen controls the Prison of Elders it would be safe to assume the Awoken in the Reef created the Cell that holds Askor. So did they create the Walkers as well and sell them to the Fallen? And isnt the prison supposed to be hidden?
-
Well, that can be explained pretty easily. I'll just explain it like this. Ok, look at the houses in America or something. See the style and building materials that they used? Ok. Now look at like japan or something. See the stuff and way they built their houses? It basically them just using the same style and incorperating their own tech. making it look similar.
-
that wasn't his cell. if you recall, they already freed him from the prison and were attempting to restore his soul. it was some sort of healing device. of course, the idea of restoring a fallen soul opens up more questions.
-
I'm pretty sure your ghost says, "It's a cell from the Prison of Elders," when you get to Aksor...
-
duly noted
-
Also about that cell, it's a vehicle. It's walks and is armed. in the game data it's a mobile mesh. Things however changed do to internal problems at bungie with activision so lots of things would have been very different. It was a two part boss fight, destroy the cell, destroy the archon.
-
never heard or seen evidence of the fight being a two part. especially since that was not his cell at all, but a unit to restore his soul.
-
Just a theory really, but if you don't dig into the game data you can just look at it in game. It's a vehicle in game, has legs, has a Cannon, Fallen tech. Just seems like it's equipped to defend its self. I could be so wrong it's retarded. But oh well, it's a video game.
-
The cell was probably made using technology by the House of Wolves under command of the Queen. It's speculated that rebels in the House of Wolves leaked info to the House of Winter.
-
wrong. for a guy who can sneak in and out of the tower, and has enough weapons and gear to supply an army, you did not seem to realize that by the time guardians show up to kill the priest, he was already freed and was in a device to restore his soul. it is easy to discern this because the house of winter freed him from a prison. a single cell does not a prison make. more like a county jail.
-
It is a cell from the Prison of Elders. Your Ghost makes sure you and everyone in your house know that when you get to Aksor
-
yes, for some reason i kept focusing on what cayde-6 said about the restoring part. i have not had my system for a while, and was going off memory. but, it still isn't the prison. oh well, i shall cower in my corner of shame now.

strength in numbers. the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

You know much about your enemies
-
Yeah Crota you guessed it! The House of Kings doesnt want this info getting out into the guardians hands. Keep it quiet.
