Wait, so ESO is not repetitive? And it's super grindy slow boring action is real content? You lost me there. (Personal preferences, but me, I enjoy a good action shooter with in your face explosions! And if you are bored, run sword on Crota in CE: hard - most fun I've ever had playing a video game! It gets your heart pumping!)

  • It's pretty much the same combat system as it is in the single games. Everyone's got their preferences and you may not like it, I do but some people don't. Pretty much any game, even WOW included can become repetitive, the difference in an actual MMO is it takes A LOT longer to get to that point. A lot of people, myself included will never be able to put the time in required to do everything in an MMO, unlike Destiny where you do the same few strikes, 2 raids, less than 20 story missions over and over and over and over. Honestly it got to where I would fall asleep in Nightfalls and Raids after playing for only a couple hours and my friends would tell me how I always sounded bored. Not for me anymore. Best of luck to you though

  • I found the grind to 50 too repetitive - new content doesn't really create replay value - if you are doing the same thing over and over just in a new environment than its still repetitive. Not saying destiny isn't repetitive, but it all comes down to replay value. Most games are just a repeat of content in a different environment and hardly give you new ways to tackle new content - skyrim was a blast, I didn't feel this playing ESO though. The combat felt more like dark ages of Camelot (which was slow and boring) than skyrim. I mean, in destiny I can wipe out an entire group of baddies a level about me with my super, lay into the masses with rockets, turn around and start head shoting the ones behind me to watch their bodies explode from the precision kill, and if I ever get bored of that set up, it only takes a second to switch up my weapons and subclass. Not that you can't swap things around in ESO, but it's just never felt as fast pace. The grind to 50 takes way to long, the combat seems sluggish and it feels more natural in third person - like it was designed to be a third person game with first person option (that never should have been the case - first person should have felt more natural and the action should have you on the edge of your seat eager for more). I think people that enjoy mmo's over shooters might like ESO, but most people that like that kind of game have already given it a go, and all the ones I personally know have already moved on to other games.
