You don't play PVP, you don't get PVP marks
I'll have to kindly disagree.. Look at this way - Currently the ecosystem in Destiny is setup to favor Crucible with having 5 vendors that accept crucible marks, while the vanguard marks are only excepted at 4 vendors (if you count each class Vanguard a separate vendor) Of those vendors - you have 4 out the 5 vendors that sells weapons for crucible marks and yet there is only 1 vendor who sells weapons for vanguard marks. Does this seem like a fair market to you? (Not like the economy in Destiny actually works, but that's whole different topic.. :-> ) As for what the OP is suggesting - yes I think that those players who have have meet a certain criteria (highest k/d, highest score, .etc) should be rewarded on top of the normal rewards for playing the Crucible. I'll be the first to admit that I don't play the Crucible because PvP is not my play style, but I most definitely think it's only fitting to reward the better player with additional items - why else have a reward system in place if it doesn't truly reward the better players. Oh wait - this is the Crucible we're talking about and that's not going to happen - right.. (j/k) Bottom line is that the mark system in Destiny needs to be adjusted in someway that gives players incentive to go out every week and earn more and that I agree needs to happen, regardless of it being crucible or vanguard or some future TBD faction. Thanks

You don't read the OP, then you look foolish with a response like this. He's not saying to get crucible marks outside of PvP, but that leading the game in one section or another can yield a higher reward of marks. I think that there should be some incentive to push for the cap on control, or play the aggressive position and get most kills. Kdr alone shouldn't be rewarded, then you have a camp fest and it turns into cod. Maybe points*KDR... either case, whether rewarded in marks/mats/gear, I think that there should be some reward for good play...
