Crux of crota
Here is my theory on the crux of Crota and remember this is [u][b]purely speculation.[/b][/u]
my theory is based on the name Crux of crota and the eris item Embalming orb and this may be a long shot but looking at the definition of both Crux and embalm leads me to believe that the embalming orb will preserve the [u]Heart/essence/core[/u] of crota so maybe if you have an embalming orb in your inventory when you beat him it will become the Crux of Crota . please comment and i will test this tonight.

Or better yet, go the proven path and beat Crota over and over again as the crux drops regardless if you've got the loot for that week or not. You have a 0% chance if you don't have glowhoo yet but once that char gets it then you can get the crux.

22 RepliesNO. You need eidolon ally with the Burgeoning Hunger upgrade UNLOCKED, but not purchased and you need to beat crota on hard MORE THAN ONCE with eidolon ally equipped. Just theorizing, though

My theory is you have to beat it on a character who has beaten Hard Crota at least once before (to prevent day 1 Necrochasms...make it rarer...)

4 Repliesi went on destiny tracker and looked up veroli and oskyllao but they are rank 1 and 0 at eris so they are testers or hackers and look at the damage of the necrochasm they both have it fully maxed out but one is 339 and the other is 356 and veroli is level 29

But for me, it first started with noticing the Crux and Embalming are the same picture. Then i went on looking up what Embalming Meant then even what Crux meant and so forth. 9 Replieslol at people coming up with elaborate theories you really think bungie put the effort to make this gun unique to gain considering the only difference from the normal and hard raid are like an extra wizard n gatekeeper and more yellow bars i just think they held back with the crux for a week so they can clean out any cheeses because they dont want the same thing to happen to the crux as the vex
