Just out of curiosity, what level were you when you did this?
I had the exact same issue a week ago and again last night, so my friends and I started scouring the internet for a fix. The ONLY thing I found was someone claiming that the glitch only occurs when you have level 32s in your group, although I've yet to confirm this.
Sometime this week we're going to do another attempt and force our levels to 30.

Yeah sure as soon as i get on a pc. And theres another problem too where my achievements pop up like a month or so after i actually acquired it. I still havent got my raiding party and ghost hunter one...

We had 4 lvl 32's and 2 lvl 31's and this detain field didnt even disappear after we killed the templar. Tbh me and my mates tried alot but it kept happening. I wanted to tell bungie directly but i couldnt find out how so i just posted here.
