If I see the animation coming, I sprint forward towards the person, slide, and face the warlock and try to take him down. Works often. Sometimes it damages me, so in that case I can take cover. How do you guys counter it? Just one on one.
EDIT: Embarrasingly, in a game tonight in Rusted Lands, I stood on the ground at the silo and a Warlock was at the other end shooting at me. He jumped into the air and launched his Nova Bomb. HE WAS AT THE OTHER END OF THE MAP! I easily could have ducked behind the silo, ran forward, slid under the stairs. But no, I'm so used to letting it happen to me...I let it happen to me. I told my team, "I don't deserve to finish this match."

Edited by Vaxel: 4/15/2016 8:23:33 PMFunny thing is "Nova Bomb" can counter all supers and enemy. Sun braker=dead Striker (if time allows it) =dead Storm caller=dead Hunter with any super=dead (less so gunslinger or void archer.... thing) Even the defender titan bubble is destroyed by a void bomb. (Note: I did not include other Void walkers or Sun singers as there supers are more... instant less so of the hunters bow that has a small window to choose between the hunter or the orb he will spawn)

With Swearwords and quick press of Square to respawn to go hunt the -blam!-er down and get a revenge kill

1 ReplyYou don't Just sit and let it happen It's all ogre now
-
As soon as you see the animation starting you can easily blink away backwards! works for Me all the time

1 ReplyI adopt the emergency landing position, head between legs and kiss my arse goodbye.

You can't, it's a panic super. Just like the fist of havoc.
-
YOU DONT. EMBRACE THE -blam!-ING VOID
-
Edited by Recon SR2: 1/13/2015 12:34:13 AMYou don't. Surrender yourself to the Void. Let it consume you. Just as I accept my fate when a Titan activates the Fist or a Hunter fires his Solar Death Star.

Run and scream in terror, mostly
-
Typically I turn kind of purply-clearish and float away.
-
Put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye.

5 RepliesEdited by Afawafa: 1/14/2015 8:12:20 AMFirst, spend 3 hours screaming at the top of your lungs and holding your hands above your head while the Nova Bomb approaches you. Getting your allies to do the same shortens the duration. Next, check to see if your ball of energy is formed. If yes, throw energy ball at opponent, ensuring that the trajectory is such that it will clash with the Nova Bomb. If no, make sure that Krillin is dead first and your hair is gold and spiky. Then, you and your warlock opponent must scream at the top of your lungs for another 2 hours as your energy ball clashes with their Nova Bomb. If you have more flashbacks than your opponent during these 2 hours, your energy ball will overpower his Nova Bomb and disintegrate him. Having friends scream alongside you also improves chances of victory.

Well mainly you don't want to stand close enough to allies that he'll get a multi kill. I know that if there's only a chance to kill one person it's a waste barring certain circumstances (if you have heavy ammo or are using a super I'm going to stop you). Nothing makes me happier in control than having my super and seeing one of my points going down faster than a drunk sorority girl. It means there's at least 3 people there and a multi kill is incoming.

Blink for life. Unfortunately if they blink strike or shoulder charge, they'll follow you through your blink. <_<

4 RepliesEdited by CeriseArt: 1/14/2015 7:08:03 AMBlink. This jump skill is often disregarded or crapped on, but especially in pvp, it can be a monster for even times like this. As a hunter, when I'm in arc blade and a warlock tried to counter bomb me, if I see it coming, I blink towards him, usually past the bomb, and then proceed to eviscerate him. If a Titan is about to fist of panic me, and I see it coming, I will blink backwards out of harms way quickly and then counter attack, which works a nice amount of times, I stress, if you see it coming. EDIT: if I see a fellow but enemy arc blader and I'm quick enough, I can do a 180 and try to run away incorporating some blinks in there to outrun him. Makes for some really intense chases Hell even if I see a sniper and my reflexes are just quicker then theirs but yet they have me in their sights, a blink to the left or right will save you more often than you think.

Blink is the answer.

blink works great

I jump towards them and once they are about to launch it throw a sticky grenade . At least you get a kill after you die : D
-
I guess you would treat it like any bomb. Either quickly rush forward and take out the sucker before they can launch it; or if there's enough distance, run and evade the blast radius. Most times it's too late and you'll have to take a gamble and try to rush and kill him first.

Two words: Suppressor Grenade.
