Killing 2 birds with 1 stone: random loot drops and lack of story (introducing exotic questlines)

So a lot of people complain about the RNG based loot drops and also the lack of story behind Destiny. Each exotic item should have its own questline or something like its own mission where a player could relive certain events that lead to the creation of the weapon/armor. By doing so, the player could uncover certain clues that would unlock specific missions of a high degree of difficulty which would then reward them with that particular weapon upon completion. You may be wondering how this is different from exotic bounties. Exotic bounties are given to you randomly and the bounties have almost nothing to do with the lore behind the weapon. These questlines could be triggered by exploration or coming across specific landmarks or dead ghosts that spawn at certain times. That way it's not completely random and everyone has an equal opportunity to get whichever exotic they want. Because this addresses the randomness of loot drops, as well as the lack of story behind destiny's gameplay, this solution would be kind of like killing 2 birds with 1 stone. PS: If someone already posted this idea, sorry, I didn't know. EDIT: For ex: for the last word the weapon description reads: "Yours…not mine." - Renegade Hunter Shin Malphur to Dredgen Yor during the showdown at Dwindler's Ridge. I haven't read into the grimoire card but from the description, it seems like there was a duel between a two people and the guy with the last word won. This makes sense because the last word is mainly a pvp gun and is considered by many to be the best 1v1 pvp primary in the game. Since the last word is described as a "romantic weapon from the days where justice was served by large rounds and a steady aim", the gun should only be awarded to those who are worthy of holding it. It could feature a questline where you find the broken frame of the gun near the dead ghost of the last guardian who wielded it. Then you would take it to the gunsmith and have him look at it. He could tell you about the crucible and have you speak to the crucible npc. The crucible NPC would show you a cutscene portraying the events that are described in the grimoire. Then you could go kill pvp enemies via hand cannon hipfire only, or go on a 20 killstreak for a certain medal which would deem your soul of being worthy of the last word. Then you could go on a quest for parts of the gun (found via exploration of VoG or CE or some kind of crucible map or a strike or even from xur). Then you could reforge the gun and be rewarded with the last word. Its just an example, but you can see how this would make the weapon feel like it was earned. And it would still be exclusive to only skilled players in pvp (its pretty difficult to go on a 20 killstreak in a single game).
