Need help with final paper

Hi guys, I need help. We were assigned a paper that has to be about someone we believe to be courageous. As simple as that may sound, I'm stuck. I'm writing about Martin Luther King Jr. and his role in the Civil Rights Movement. Any idea on how I can incorporate courage and MLK together without making my paper sound like a research paper? Any ideas are welcomed and appreciated. There's no "requirements" for the paper aside from having 10 sources, but I have those already. I'm just not sure how the essay should flow. Please help.

  • He treated his most hateful foes with the respect and kindness he'd treat a friend. Even as he was staring down the barrel of his assassin's gun, he told him "I know how you feel." Brave to the end.

  • Mlk knew that he would be killed before he ever saw equality. He even gave a speak stating such days before he was killed. He was courageous knowing he would die for what he believed in

  • He believed in peaceful protests rather than an eye for an eye etc like other activists. Meaning he was respected by many, including whites who believed in equality because of how he endured so much suffering and lived with segregation and still continued to speak out without harming others or getting pay back as such. He believed the only way to move forward was to show kindness to others, even if they weren't respectful to him or his race

  • MLK had courage because he was a black, in a white world. He had a lot of enemy's, and he knew that. But he kept on. He didn't stop what he was doing even tho he was threatened. And even when his house was bombed, he just kept on going. He had the courage to keep speaking out, even tho the odds were against him.
