Mine is Bioshock Infinite. Never been so immersed in a game. Felt like I was living it. There is a ton of actual story and a ton of voxophones (audio diaries) that expand it even more so. The characters are great too. Not to mention the two story based DLCs will blow your mind almost as much as the original story itself. In fact the second dlc wraps the entire bioshock series up which is quite rare of a thing for a DLC to do. Highly recommend buying it cuz it is so cheap now. Or at least watch a full YouTube play through from someone like theradbrad

IDK if I could pick a best story, so instead, I'd like to share the most hilariously absurd game opening/story I've ever heard. The game is called Hong Kong 97, the story goes as follows.
The year 1997 has arrived. A herd of -blam!-in' ugly reds, are rushing from the mainland. Crime rate skyrockeded! Hong Kong is ruined! Therefore, The Hong Kong government called Bruce Lee's relative "Chin" for the massacre of the reds. (played by Jackie Chan) Chin is a killer machine. Wipe out all 1.2 billion of the red communists! However, in mainland China there was a secret project in progress! A project to transform the deceased Tong Shau Ping (played by Deng Xiaoping) into an ultimate weapon!
