Hi everyone,
We are sorry to see people encountering this issue. We realize some of you have already attempted the following steps, but I will place them here just in case:
-Clearing the Cache by turning off your console, unplugging it for 10 minutes and plugging it back in.
-Having a wired connection when installing updates
If these have not resolved your issue, below are further troubleshooting steps. Please let me know if the information provided below resolves your issue.
-Launch Destiny on your console (Do not press A to play)
-At the sign on screen (the screen that prompts you “Press A To Play”) press and hold the following buttons for ~10 seconds, or until the game launches : Right Bumper (RB) + Left Bumper (LB) + down on the dpad
[b]-Please note:[/b] This button command should only be used during the Start Screen

Still updating Bungie. C'mon man. I'd just like to play the game I paid for.

None of this worked. I got this issue last Tuesday, it was late so I went to bed. Had time tonight, spent over an hour and a half jumping through every hoop, power-cycle, uninstall, re-install, cleared cache, reset everything again. I paid for a game and an expansion pass, a significant investment for me, and it's pretty much a coaster at this point. I can't believe this it is absolutely useless at this point and from what I can tell all you have to offer folks with this issue is "Sorry, try all that again" and "yea sucks, we're working on it"
