is anybody else tired of the 500 void kill bounty?
I wouldn't mind the bounty so much if it didn't go down with every death. Or if the amount you had to get was less, I can't even get past 50, how the heck do you expect me to get 500? I am a freakin Titan

3 RepliesDefender with Atheons epilogue, praedyths revenge sniper, and void heavy did the trick for me. Sat back sniping and when people came around I'd magnetic grenade them.

Basically you need to be a fusion/shotty user for this one. I don't like either and didn't want to change how I play to do the bounty and wasn't having fun so I dropped it.

I don't have Atheons epilogue I used vanquished 8, the final boss void sniper, defender titan with mag grenades, and void swarm mg. bubble + swarm = dominance. If u have a good void machine gun then learn heavy ammo spawns. If u don't have the epilogue then use a sniper since it has range

Edited by Envision86: 12/19/2014 10:20:41 PMI've already done it twice and now I'm on my third go, I use a void fusion rifle in the crucible and I don't have a problem getting it. Stay in close places with a fusion rifle or shotgun, otherwise you're opening yourself up to fire from a distance, which won't end well if you're using the fusion or shotgun, I also like control for this bounty, camp at a place and wait for the enemy to come and take it over.

I did it in an hour. But yeah it sucks. I would advise getting a couple of friends (if they're willing ofc) to help you out so you can boost it to make it go faster though.

Void fusion rifle or shotgun and your void grenades. Play defensively and run if you're going to die.

I got that thorn bounty and got so pissed off with trying to get that 500 void part done that I deleted it. Then I got offered the same thorn bounty again and gave it another try. Got the bounty up to that 500 void crucible stage and left it there until this Iron Banner came up. Equipped my Atheon's Epilogue, Void Purifier VII and Corrective Measure and entered into the Iron Banner. I eventually managed to complete that part of the bounty, make sure you try to get assists, if you're getting your arse handed to you, go to orbit at the end of the match and rejoin. It can be done, I did it using my Titan running striker class. ;-)

I personally went striker for this. Yes i truly dislike defender pvp. Only good thing is magnetic grenades and suppressor when used right. Striker was to FOH in emergency if i needed to push the other team back so i didnt have them come from all directions. Any void fusion rifle will do. Play control and be defensive. Don't go for the zones.

I completed the bounty in 4 or 5 games... Just equip all void damage weapons... You're a titan so use defender.

Do you have to use specific weapon? I went to rocket yard and ran around with void shotgun and rocket to get 100 void hive kills, took me about 15 min

You have to focus on void kills entirely. Equip every void weapon you can: Epilogue, Void secondary, void heavy. Also play as your void character with fusion nades if they are available. +5 points for every void kill, -2 points for every death, no points for any non-void kill. I've noticed when my friends do this bounty a lot of the time they are using their Hawkmoons and Suros and Last Words. Weapons without void don't help you so don't use them. AT ALL. I got the Thorn bounty the night before last and finished it the same night. Took maybe 3 hours total for all parts. It's not that hard of a bounty, you just have to be more tactical with your kills so you die less.

Defender class nade does void damage so that should help.
