After seeing the updates and finally approaching something of an end game with my Titan and getting there with my Hunter and Warlock, I have experienced enough of the economy to say that there are some things that NEED to happen. Below are ideas I have for improvements to the vendors in the Tower. [b]1.) Update Weaponsmith[/b] He has no use past level 18 except for a few exotic bounties. He sits there in the Tower in the corner all by himself. It's not his fault Bungie didn't give him a great financial model, though. This can be remedied by the following: [i]A.) Weaponsmith Buys Weapon Parts - [/i]Everyone who has reached the upper echelons of Light leveling and weapon upgrading has seen the same issue. Hundreds, literally hundreds, of weapon parts from breaking down all of those uncommon weapons you get from playing. So many, in fact, that you have hundreds left over. What are you supposed to do with them? Solution 'A' is to sell them to the weaponsmith for some glimmer. He is a weaponsmith after all. Seems he could put those parts to some good use. [i]B.) Weaponsmith Exchanges Weapon Parts for Ascendant Energy - [/i]Even if the conversion rate was something steep like 100-150 weapons parts for one Ascendant Energy, it would be worth it. He's the weapons guy and we already receive the Energeez from breaking down legendary weapons. Help us get some more at a steep price. [i]C.) Weaponsmith Upgrades and Reforges Legendary and Exotic Weapons - [/i]Why does it make sense for anyone else to do this? Why should we have to wait to upgrade weapons we already have until some random time Xur decides? [b]2.) Update Titan, Hunter, and Warlock Vanguard[/b] On the same vein as the Weaponsmith, I believe these guys should help us out with some things. [i]A.) Associated Vanguard Buys Your Class Materials - [/i]Plasteel Plating, Sapphire Wire, and Hadronic Essence for Glimmer. 'Nough Said. [i]B.) Exchange Class Material for Ascendant Shards - [/i]Just as the Weaponsmith should give you the weapon-related ascendant material, the class Vanguard should help you get some Ascendant armor material at a steep price. [b]3.) Update The Speaker[/b] The Speaker should be pulling a little more weight. [i]A.) The Speaker Should Have Bounties - [/i]The Speaker should be giving out bounties much like Eris. Isn't he the one directing this fight against the Darkness? [i]B.) The Speaker Should NOT Be the Seller of Class Items - [/i]We already have people for that... they are called the [insert class here] Vanguard. [i]C.) The Speaker SHOULD Be An Access To The Grimoire - [/i]How flavorful would it be for The Speaker to be a librarian of sorts, holding the books of information you have unlocked. It would be a great in game access point for all that material. It could literally be like going to the library and researching information. But, I guess that would make too much sense. He's already been programmed to keep it on the down-low anyway. Welp, there you have it. Those are some more of my ideas on how to improve the vendors.
