Weapons now over penetrate knight shields
Anyone experience thier pre dlc weapons now penetrate knight shields? Saw someone with the timepiece piercing a knights shield along with my swarm which doesn't have any penetration perk.

The timepiece does, I'm talking the shield of darkness they throw up not an arc shield. Someone a while back claimed thunderlord shot through that black shield as well. I tried it and had mixed results, a few damage numbers came out but that could have been from as he was putting it up, there a few small cracks in it that my rounds could have gone through, or the angle I was shooting at him was letting some rounds hit pieces of him that were exposed. Same person said all lmgs did that but I tried with my swarm, Zombie Apocalypse, and recently my prestige to no success

Edited by Kallen99: 12/15/2014 9:18:14 PMI noticed my machine gun always goes threw their shield. I know the new raid machine gun has a perk to let it shots penetrate knight shields. Maybe when bungie was adding this guns perk it was accidentally applied to other weapons.

In the new strike I've learned to use my hard point rounds on my fusion rifle to bounce them off the wall and hit him in the back.

What I've noticed is that, I'll get a Knight down to almost no health, and then hesitate a split second in landing a death shot. In that split second, they attempt to put up a shield AND I fire the death shot. It gets to the target RIGHT AFTER the shield goes up, and the Knight is dead when the shield disappears. I think it's just really lucky timing.

3 RepliesApparently the oracle modifier and shield penetration modifiers are universal as long as they are unlocked meaning oracle disruptor works like the new raid weapons perk and vise versa
