I hate farming, but Destiny has driven me to accept it, and even like it. For the most part.
Now I need 75 plasteel platings to level up. Where do you go to farm? Any techniques or suggestions?
Edit 1:
Not trolling. I just never did a lot of grinding. I leveled up a hunter to 29. Then I started a Titan, I've got tons of materials, did lots of farming for those. I have tons of gun parts.
Edit 2:
Thanks for the help. I ended up doing loops in the rocket yard to get what I needed.
Also, I played for fun a lot. Just did bounties that were fun, etc.
Maybe I leveled up intermediate armor too much on the Titan.

I personally hate it but do roc strikes
-
Roc strikes in the vangaurd playlist bruh.

Venus loot building
-
Just buy a green armor piece from vangaurd quarter master or do a bunch of strikes, any level

Edited by UberFonzie: 12/24/2014 7:26:15 PMStep 1: make top score in Crucible or strikes Step 2: beat Crota's End and VoG Step 3: make multiple examples of ground breaking scored in all aspects of Destiny Step 4: use the Plasteel Plating from dismantled Greens and Blues that you got from RNG to upgrade exotics you have to buy Step 5: repeat when your gear becomes obsolete

Vanguard strikes
-
lvl 26 strikes. kill everything.

2 RepliesI have been at skywatch all day trying to kill urzok the hated and while waiting for him i just ran around killing everything else had tons of blues and greens which gave me loads of p.plating.
-
Strikes. They'll almost surely give a blue engram or armor.
-
I usually farm the Thrall Door on the Dark Beyond mission on the moon for green engram's to break down. Vanguard ROCS also work pretty well.
-
Im in level 31 and i need it to.. Warlock stuff i got over 1000 and a lot of hunter to.. But no Titan stuff. Never thought that could happen lol
-
Go to vanguard roc/tiger and get blue gear then dismantle it.
-
I usually do vanguard ROC (previously tiger) so I can get blue engrams and possible rare loot drops. Plus all the green and blues you get along the way.

2 RepliesIf your levelling an alt, you can vault any armour engrams earned on your primary and hand them to the cryptarch with your Titan. They will resolve to Titan armour. I did this for my warlock as already had 1500 sapphire wire on my hunter.
-
Transfer all of the armour engrams that you get when you are using your other toons to your Titan. Then discard all of that armour and you'll be left with a decent amount of plate. Your other toons probably don't need more essence/wire anyway. It's not going to get you a ton but every bit helps...

1 ReplyGo to the back of any crucible map. You should see a bunch of Titans camping in Their bubble. Kill them all and collect the plasteel plating. Rince and repeat
-
Playlist you'll have chance to pick some green and blue and maybe a purple drop while playing but your rewarded with engrams at the end so yeah tomorrow im running them myself tryin get the vanguard rep and im doing the exotic bounties again

Edited by Kokonite: 12/14/2014 9:30:25 PMIf you have glimmer, you could just buy green engrams from the Crypt. or gear from the vendors. Dismantle it and you get the plating.
-
I have the same issue. I need over 100 plates. Thanks for posting this

Strike playlists
-
Farm glimmer them buy from the vanguard mentor and dismantle
-
4 RepliesYou get plasteel plating from dismantling Titan armor
-
46 RepliesSeriously, this is a great example of casuals skipping the grind to 30. Bravo bungie.

Run circles around the first mars zone and find chests. There are tons of armor hiding in those chests.
-
I would recommend the new Vanguard ROC strike. You get the blue engram and vanguard marks/ rep. Also along the way you get loads of green and blue engrams dropping.

I am 5 short of 2800 shouldn't have to farm for a while. Chest runs are your best bet for getting it fast.
