Sometimes, it's essential that someone charges straight into the enemy team. What if they're hunkering down around a capture point behind cover that would make long range engagements impossible? Somebody has to break through. Somebody has to blaze a path. And so the shotgunner charges ahead. He will lead the way, he will be the spearhead. He rushes from cover to cover, rapidly approaching the enemy team. The enemy is finally in range. He shoulder charges into the nearest enemy. One less threat to his team. Hoping that the enemy wasn't anticipating such recklessness, he turns to aim his shotgun at the next target. But alas, it is too late. After all, there was no way they wouldn't see the flash of red on their radar. A barrage of rounds impact his body; streaks of arc and solar light from some fusion rifle wielders scorch him, a prepared shotgun user empties a fistful of pellets into him, a startled auto rifle holder panics and sprays him with a wall of lead. But he does not lament, for he knows his sacrifice was not in vain. Each bullet that has torn through him is one less bullet for his allies. His mere presence had caused the enemy to scatter from their cover, and they would now be easy pickings for the marksmen in his team. Some of his more foolish opponents made the mistake of reloading, leavong them completely vulnerable. His body hits the ground and the light starts to fade from his body, but the shotgunner smiles, knowing that he had completed his duty... Unfortunately his teamates were -blam!-ing dumbasses and went off to capture zone A on blind watch.

  • Nice !......although the better guys can still blaze a path without playing on a hope and a prayer, I've used SG probably 15% of my total games with my 3 different characters after getting invective and trying to use the best gun I had at the time. I'm the auto rifle guy that Shotgun guys hate.......when they come in close I'm anticipating, playing actively......not reactively. They heroicly rush in like the natural leaders they are (probably just $10/hr fry cooks in real life) and blast away........but wait, I start shooting at the same time as walking backwards so they can't reach me with their crutch (shotgun). At the end of all the smoke and bullets flying I emerge victorious yet again, not even knee sliding can help their pitiful attempts at one shot killing me. By the way you are the real MVP, your grammar and punctuation is far superior to mine lol
