Hmm, pesky Council members, always making Shachal's job harder than it is. Those "Nameless" sound like a good time. Lukos' mouth may be the death of him yet, that or his ignorance. Good chapter.

They are a nuisance indeed. And the mysterious Nameless. I wonder how Lukos would fare against them. Do you worry about the loud mouth that Lukos is?
-
No, not if Tharsos keeps intervening when he's being a knot-head.
-
He is a good team leader after all. What do you think of the reassignment? Do you think the Council's decision is well founded?
-
Yeah, but I can't imagine what their after. It may be a ploy to eliminate Shachal or draw the Cabal's attention to test their strength. I'm not sure, we'll have to wait and see.
-
I guess Lukos wasn't kidding about the secrets of the City. Never know what's on anyone's mind. What did you think about the objective Shachal sought for in Menia?
-
I was a little miss understanding about that. From what I could tell, Shachal was a distraction for Petros while he hacked the system. However, as stated, Tharsos' mission was to get his team out alive. To answer your question, I thought the objective was risky, but necessary to complete the mission and get the info they needed.
-
I wouldn't say they served as a distraction. There's no way Petros could have succeeded in infiltrating the base, extracting the data, and escaped alone. While Shachal wasn't in the know on his mission, they served as a guard and transport for moving him to the points of interest. It was a necessary risk. If they didn't take the chance, they could have become victim to another route of execution with the Fallen siege. What did you think of Petros' comment to Tharsos regarding the mission's objectives?
-
I take it as he was being chivalrous, maybe? Letting Tharsos know that he and his team did a good job and that the operation wasn't a failure.
-
So have you become a little tolerant of Petros' common demeanor in light of his less expressed mentality?
-
I'd say that I think there is more than Petros than meets the eye, but I still just view him as machine with a kind of logical conscience that he has adopted.
-
I see. Have you come to appreciate his role though, despite both his personal and artificial natures?
-
Yes, I have. I forget, what Guardian did Petros work with first originally?
-
He's always been with Fireteam Shachal. After the first's decommission, he was "put to sleep" in a manner of speaking. After Shachal was reinstated with its second team, he was reinstated as well.
-
Oh, okay. Yeah, I remember a little of the situation where they woke him up. Wasn't sure is he was Kenaeths or not.
-
Oh I see what you mean. He didn't come along until the first Fireteam Shachal was formed.
