There once existed barrels by a staircase that will shortly lead down to the Seraphim Vault. If you walked past a load point just before the celebrant of oryx, then returned to said barrels you would find they had gotten busy while you were away and doubled their numbers. You could repeat this first (and only) step to fill the room with more and more barrels until they virtually flooded the room and you had to wade through them to get from on side of the room to the other. You could shoot rockets and supers to send the magnificent barrels flying all over the room like some sort of tetanus ball pit (so only slightly more dangerous than a regular ball bit). Endless fun was to be had. This was, I kid you not, one of my favorite things in the game, I got a kick out of it everytime I was in the neighborhood. Unfortunately though the barrels remain, they seem to have forgotten their glory. I fail to see how this particular bug hurt gameplay since the only way to use it is to repeated walk up and down that stairway, not a common pass-time for most players (except those trying to get a dead ghost to spawn), so I wish it didn't have to go. I know this was no doubt the unintentional casualty of some code meant to fix a completely different problem, but still the barrels deserve some attempt at restoration. I also know of course that you are unlikely to spend the coding time required to figure out how to keep the infinity barrels and still fix whatever the code that killed them fixed. But I can dream. I will continue to stop by those barrels every so often, in part to see if they are somehow restored, but mostly to grieve and remember them as they were.
