I personally don't have a problem with the new upgrade trees. They seem faster and easier to complete, and I like the fact that I'm going to be able to basically re-roll my exotics so they remain useful as the light level increases and more strikes/missions are added. I also like the fact that the upgrades won't require an exotic to be maxed-out first. To me that means more players with usable gear for, and thus more players that will be useful in the upcoming Raid. In my mind that's a good thing. I try to be open-minded about people's complaints/concerns regarding these two things. However, I can't help but notice that most of the complaints center on what people believe other players should or shouldn't have; what they're "entitled to" and what other players aren't. Bluntly put, that's a bullsh*t argument that holds no weight with me. I don't care what other players get or don't get; I care what I get and how the updates/expansions affect me. I'll also note here that many of the people complaining about these new upgrade trees can't even remain consistent within their own arguments. Most of the time they start off by complaining about Bungie "scamming" people into repetitive grinding, and then transition into demanding Bungie only allow fully-maxed exotics to be upgraded via Xur. How do those two arguments go together even a little bit? They hate repetitive grinding, but they want the game to require you to grind through two entirely different upgrade trees to allow your weapons to remain up-to-date? Its pretty clear that those complaints are centered around one thing: Some players want the game to work harder to exclude people from being able to participate in high-level activities and encounters. Bungie shouldn't let them have their way, no matter how loud (and inconsistent) their tantrums are.

  • Wow. I love the entitlement bashing, only to try and get approval for your narcissistic "as long as I'm fine, the change is good" approach.

  • I love the "entitled" people bash. We all bought this game with one system in place then out of no where they bend us over and go to town. Tell me how that seems fair? Also only one week before release you tell us this? Where was this in any of the multiple updates over the last month about the dlc? Get over yourself and think before just following what Bungie crams down your throat.
