Hello,
I've been playing and loving Destiny since the release on Xbox One. My brother recently started playing the demo on his 360, and in an effort to help convince him to upgrade and play with me on the Xbox One, I installed the demo on my 360. Now, when I go to launch the game on the 360 I get an error:
Your Bungie account is not compatible with this version of Destiny. If you try again and still experience issues, please visit help.bungie.net and search for error code: chimpanzee
I've done that and there's nothing talking about this situation. I've also tried relaunching the game and get the same error.
Is there no way for me to play the demo with my brother on the 360 now that I own the full version on the Xbox One?
GT: Leyet
Thanks!

I have a very similar, but more complex issue. I receive the same error message, but I am unsure why. I have the demo version on my Xbox 360. I played the demo version on my friend's Xbox One (same limitations) so that I could subjectively and objectively see and feel the difference between the visual and gameplay of each version. Now, I cannot play it on my Xbox 360. None of my characters are above level 7, and my friend's Xbox One did not have the full version of Destiny. I am at a loss.

Yeah, same problem, i dont own the game but i did play it on my brothers xbone up to level 15. maybe it is because the demo only allows through lvl 7. idk.

2 RepliesNot sure its about owning the game in my opinion. It might be because (for me at least) my account has characters well above the demo level and it recognizes that with the bungie.net account as well...i'm testing it but i had the same issue trying to help a friend on the demo also.
