Sick of 30 only runs
I don't understand the point of people not letting 29's into hardmode VoG. I'm sick of not getting into groups and not being able to do hardmode. I only need the helmet to get to level 30, but none of my friends are ready to do hardmode so I have to resort to finding random groups but people won't invite me cause I'm only level 29. Does anyone else have this problem?

29 is good enough to run the raid on hard when you are a team player and have good team players as well. To many people out there that are terrible team players and need lvl 30 players to carry them . I have run raid on hard with two 29 characters for few weeks and have not received my last vault gear, luckily I've met some good players but have run into a share of selfish players. I have a level 30 also and I have helped some new raiders on easy. Many 30s say they have experience on hard but fail to execute and stick with it. Do not stop trying eventually you will find a group of good raiders. Last point Bungie needs to find a way to make it easier for first time raiders to find helpful people and just find players to raid with in general.

Get and exotic helm and switch out chest with legendary. .. keep exoctic chest u have..so when u get raid helm u can have set up u want..thats what i did..made me a 30 doing the switch..its not the end of the world to have to level up more gear to get what u want to do done..just a thought

It's all about time. I have a raid static and we stared HM once we all hit 28 but with max weapons and even then it took hours to complete. Can't remember exactly how long but let's just say 3h. Now that we all 30 the same raid takes us 1h tops. Easy mode less than 45 min so really it's all about time. Nobody wants to spend hours in the raid.

Reading your comments here, such as : "kill yourself" and "you are absolutely reatrded" in response to pleople trying to help you lead me to believe your difficulty findind groups to Raid with has more to do with you than your character's level. You might want to develop some social skills, they will serve you well in all aspects of your life.

Did it yesterday with four 29's and we did it exceptionally fast. The people you it in the fireteam with were honestly probably just meanies

Its unfortunate and unfair, but on the face of it, you can understand why it happens. The hard raid is a lot easier with 6 30's than a mix.

When I was a 29, I ran the hard mode with 4 other 29's and one 30 and defeated him even when one of the other 29's went down. I had more trouble with getting my 29 hunter in the raid so I deleted him and made a third warlock. Made all the difference.

OP, I like how many people to tell you to get an exotic helm but don't look at your profile to realize you already have an exotic chest.

12 RepliesAs a level 28 raid virgin, I hit the recruitment boards yesterday and everyone refused to accept anyone without experience. People were running normal asking for 30s only to boot. I ended up knocking it on the head and going to bed! :)

It's not because you are a 29 it is because you have two raid clears and average weapons. Spend more time on normal.

not myself. i hardly look to forums for raiding, but i always have the checkpoints first. usually i dont care 29 or 30, but i aint going to lie, 30 w a gjallahorn that isnt stupid is always welcomed.

i usually only allow two 29's when i raid on hard this way I can ensure atleast 1 level 30 is teleported and any more than two 29's you then risk the chance of all three 29's being teleported

It's funny because they suck if they are that scared of having a 29 in the raid.

I didn't have that problem. But if you only need the helmet, try to get an exotic helmet and that will put you at level 30

8 RepliesLols 29s that come into hard mode think they can come without max raid weapons, and they complain why they get kicked. I was a 29 once and I know having 3 max weapons in every slot is a big deal in joining a 30s group. Maybe you should take the time to level your weapons Try running vision, icebreaker and corrective measure or try vision , raid sniper and ghorn. If u don't have the exotics listed above, you can use the raid weapons!

However, random 29's tend to suck, while good 29's aren't random, because the good 29's get recognized, friended, and invited to raids frequently. Therefore, I don't take randoms much anymore. But when I do, they better be 30, and not suck!
