Sick of 30 only runs
I don't understand the point of people not letting 29's into hardmode VoG. I'm sick of not getting into groups and not being able to do hardmode. I only need the helmet to get to level 30, but none of my friends are ready to do hardmode so I have to resort to finding random groups but people won't invite me cause I'm only level 29. Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm tired of it too. My clans all thirty and our three runs weekly go so fast and smooth that it's terribly boring.

Nope. I would'nt invite a Level 29 to a Hard Raid.

It's because whenever we do the hard raid with 29s, we fail over and over, make no progress and everyone eventually ends up quitting. Being 30 makes a huge difference when you only have one life. If you need a helmet, use an exotic one.

Until the dark below, all 30's shouldn't have a problem helping out, the more 30's we have in the community. The easier/faster it will be to find groups to work to 32....I'll throw my self out there, GT: griffilicous

4 Replies2 raids completed and you are already whining about not being invited to hard raid. Get some experience in normal and learn some strategies. I would suggest forming your own group but i doubt you are capable of leading a competent group

Yeah and it has nothing to do with skill. It's just the fact you do 20% less damage and take 20% more damage as a 29... The most 29s on a lvl30 raid should be 3 at most

If you lack the helm I suggest an exotic. More than likely you will be using an exotic helm anyways for the useful utilities it provides. I am a 30 and while I choose not to run with 29s anymore (Due to time constraints) occasionally on the week ends I will help 2 29s through the raid with my friends. Its nothing against you as a person. Its more along the lines of 'Hey this can be hard enough with all 30s, we prefer not to have that damage reduction and liability right now". Try again on the weekends when people have more time. Also raid helmet looks ugly as shit (Along with the rest of the armor...).

Keep running on normal til you get the chest piece. Then throw on an exotic helmet. Problem solved.

I did now I have 2 30's. My advice is to find a group that's starting at Atheon and hope for the helm. I will normally have 2 29's on my raid team though

Get an exotic helmet from zur to hit 30 untill you can get the raid helm.

Last week my team beasted the hard mode raid in 45 minutes with four level 29s and two level 30s although we were playing on alternate characters. -
I joined a random group earlier, 4-30's and 2-29's. I was a 29. One guy kept bitching about having 2-29's. Before I bailed, I died less, died last, and had middle of the road kills than the 4-30's. I could tell a difference with my level vs normal mode, but come on... I can hold my own fairly well, at least compared to some of them. But hey, I'll get my chance.

If a 29 has fully leveled weapons I have no problem running with them. But if they are 29 and have all 248-267 weapons no way. With the damage given and taken amplifiers it's not worth it. It can be done, just not with me

Some 30's are absolutely terrible. For instance, check out this game that I did on my wife's account last week while using [b]fresh[/b], non-upgraded weapons. [url]http://destinydb.com/carnage/835840009-misskubriks[/url] Four players in the group had maxed weapons and two of them were level 30 (DestinyDB updates the level using the last character the account has played). Only one other player was level 27, the same as my wife's. Edit: They also kept spreading misinformation about different parts of the raid and simply dismissed me when I tried to correct them. Probably only because I was on a level 27 account. This has been said many times, but I will say it again: [b][i]LEVEL/GEAR DO NOT INDICATE SKILL![/i][/b]

An all-29 raid group will struggle I think but having a few certainly isn't awful. I did however have the unfortunate experience of being the only 30 in a raid amongst 29s and two 28s. We didn't even get to Time's Vengeance... 28s are too weak for hard mode

U could just keep raiding until u get the raid chest piece and then rock out an exotic helmet instead of the armamentArium chest piece. That's what I had to do with my hunter. Not entirely the 30s fault for not taking u. It is a ton easier to do the raid with 6 30s. It's still do able with 29s just harder
