I don't understand the point of people not letting 29's into hardmode VoG. I'm sick of not getting into groups and not being able to do hardmode. I only need the helmet to get to level 30, but none of my friends are ready to do hardmode so I have to resort to finding random groups but people won't invite me cause I'm only level 29. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have a 30 hunter and 29 warlock, did 1 hard raid with my warlock but I wouldn't be upset for people rejecting me because I am 29. In general with all thing being equal things seem to go better when more 30's are on the team. If you feel 30's are not needed for hard then start a 29 only hard mode raid and get all the other 29's that complain about not getting into hard mode should be easy to form a 29 only group.
-
But if you only need the helmet to get to level 30 buy one off xur an exotic one and boom level 30 then you will have people wanti.g you to join their hard raid team.and then you can be an asshole and be like naaahhh im collecting materials right now killing dregs and shit hahaa

30 majority is exceptional. Balanced 29s is possible, 29 majority is just insane. It all has to do with the damage reduction/increased damage intake, especially on gatekeepers/Atheon. Relic is just insane with a 29.
-
I always prefer 30's over 29's, mostly because other people are unwilling to join unless they see a group of at least 4 x 30's. Having all 30's in a group makes people feel more secure. Anyone can pick up the relic, anyone can go into the portal without a problem, anyone can defend the left pillar at confluxes. I'm not saying that 30's perform better in reality, but in terms of reassurance for the team it's a whole lot better than having 29's.

I was with some friends that i met a week ago and we were doing the hard raid and they allowed me to bring my lvl 27 titan....we were able to beat it no problem

What system are you on, I might be able to fit you into one of my future raids.

If you can't be level 30 through iron banner gear or raid/exotic gear, you have no excuses at this point. Everyone who cares should be able to be 30 by now. That being said, it's still not that hard to find groups. My usual raid group takes 28 friends through hard raid all the time. Even when I'm wearing gear to level up and I am showing level 29 I get raid invites all the time in the tower. Use the forums and the Destiny lfg options, I've never had a hard time finding a group at 29 and I just hit 30 on my first character the raid before iron banner week because I couldn't get drops, and finished the other two to 30 with the iron banner boots and my Titan even got his last piece of raid gear the same week as iron banner. So if someone doesn't want a 29, find another group rather than sitting around complaining on the forums.

I don't care for playing with 29s, or even 28s. But if I'm trying to get the raid done asap because I have to go somewhere, then I'm not going to do with with 29s. I'll look for a full group of 30s.

Lvl 30 master race
-
You know if you get full raid arms, chest, and legs with an exotic helmet from normal you can be level 30
-
yeah i do but i use destinglfg and i eventually find a group willing to let in 29s
-
The reason people are hesitant to take 29's is that they take So much extra damage.
-
I know for damm sure I ain't playing with 29's when the dlc comes
-
Well wer sick of carrying level 29s so wer even.
-
Filthy casual. Get on my level.

Dude I really don't understand why people are being such dicks about it. I let 2 level 26's join me and I told them I'd solo the nightfall this week and I did. I asked them to do certain things and they did and both of them got legendary weapons. I've been doing this since yesterday and I've helped over ten ransoms do the nightfall. Also another group of mine decided to do the vault with a random 26

Edited by Edge: 11/27/2014 6:51:02 AMWell I just ran my first all 30 hardmode. 1 dude didn't even speak English and 3 of them mostly spoke in Spanish. And it was a total joke of how easy it was. We screwed around the whole time and beat it like it was normal. Its nice having only 30s. Just saying

Edited by Duke3008: 11/27/2014 6:56:46 AMI have no problem playing with 29s but no more than 2 29s for Atheon, otherwise it is too dificult especially if 3 29s get ported. If you're 29 you cant blame people who want smooth raids to be selective about who they bring with them, you just cant.
-
That sucks man. I'm not a "30's only" dbag but I do limit a raid party to 3 29's at the most. It's nothing personal it's just less of a headache.
-
If you ever need to do hard raid, im level 30 and on ps4.
-
Some people just want a smoother vault run. Don't need extra stress or anger when the team wipes several times. I personally don't mind having 29s for the hard raid but that's why some people want it that way. Just find another group and move on. No need for a post like this.
-
You don't want those groups anyway. "30s only" is just another way to say "we're scared of wiping and need to use our level as a crutch" I run 4x 29 groups all the time and damn near flawless hard mode. No hiding like a bitch from legions. No oracle cheese. Rarely templar cheese. Atheon drops in 2 ports every time. (sans glitches ofc) Also, don't let nubs tell you 29s can't grab the relic at atheon, sometimes it's better if they do.

Guys I don't care what level you are we need three more people for raid on hard gt is my name
