While all the others I feel are self-explanatory, I will explain why I feel Digital Downloads and Pre-Loading is wrong IMHO. The convenience is great that's obvious what may not be is it is not as competitively priced if they have a captive market, competition is good. Used game market will also die.
There may be others I have have missed or couldn't fit in, so please feel free to list other concerns you have if I have not included them or comment on the poll options above if you want.
Edit: Dishonourable mentions
Pre-orders & Day 1DLC
Split screen not being included as standard.
Renting servers

Definitely broken/unfinished games. Micro transactions would be up there but, it may just be me, they seem on the decline (AAA games). Also more games need split screen.

I feel like they should all learn form the company that made borderlands 2 (cant remember name) they had a perfect story and you didn't need the dlc in order to have fun. And i you payed for dlc you knew you were getting content that was great. Now that same company is selling bl2 and the pre sequel and all the dlc that came out for both games in a very good priced bundle i was expecting like 80 us dollars but no they are not greedy bastards and all of that content is for 60 us dollars. That is why im looking foward to that release date.

I haven't seen where microtransactions have been a problem. They're most prominent in Free-to-Play games, but that's all of their revenue anyway. In other games they seem like a convenience thing and nothing else.
-
I don't mind DLC after the game has been out for a while. But my biggest concern is unfinished games, that then release Day 1 DLC that we have to pay for that DLC in hopes for it to finish/fix the game, but it doesn't.
-
Pre Order Bonuses or DLC'S that cost a lot of money -_-
-
The problem is unfinished/broken games. This is caused by pre-ordering and early access.
-
No splitscreen :(

Pre orders

Personally? Always online games. I used to enjoy going offline to play single player without being interupted by invites or things like that, but it seems that games are headed in a direction where that may not be possible in the near future which frightens me. On top of that, server issues cause tremendous problems with always online games. Destiny is probably the best recent example. People couldn't even play campain because the servers and/or Sony/Microsoft networks were down. It sucks and I hope the industry sees that it sucks.

Thanks to call of duty now every game has "dlc". Like cool let me spend an extra double so now paid $120 for what like 15 new maps 5 new missions in zombies/ raids. Like battlefield gives out new vehicles guns and maps. Theirs no more story... either in call of duty just multiplayer... at least destint gives u more story but what 4 new ones? 2 new pvp maps? A couple guns n gear? Like yo let me give u $80 up front and put all of that shit in the game. Like video game developers know whats going to be reaslsed just like any other company. Its like the iphone saying buy my phone and for every ios update u pay $10. Like no I paid for a service I shouldnt have to pay for anymore.

Unfinished crap
-
DLC. I think it goes without saying.
-
I hate all online games. Why couldnt you atleast let me run patrol for those 3 days of down psn?
-
DLC, either as a way to make more money, or to release an unfinished game and finish/patch it in the future.
-
Unfinished games Undedicated servers Dlc

Wait paid dlc? That's been happening since I have no clue. I can't believe people are still complaining about that.
but nonetheless complain away!
-
Other: All of the above.
-
I don't mind pre orders because they at least give something to show you've been there since day 1. Pre order dlc (day one dlc) bonuses are another thing though.
-
In all honesty micro transactions piss me the -blam!- off. At least in games where you buy them. F2P completely fine as long as it's not too limiting. But a game where you pay for it should NEVER EVER EVER EVERRR have micro transactions. Of ANY kind. That's just -blam!-ing being greedy -blam!-s.
-
No splitscreen pisses me off. Some people have to share their console or want to play with friends who are near them
-
Edited by Britton: 1/19/2015 10:10:50 AMLack of split screen is also my biggest complaint. All these "multiplayer" games but i need two $400 consoles for 2 people to play together? The -blam!-ing gamecube supported 4 player split screen and good games, its just a marketing ploy.

I said that dedicated servers im sure me and my CoD team plus many of my destiny team were not the only ones who were not able to get to their friendslist yesterday. This is because Microsoft is undedicated to their users and could care less when servers go down or fail. If they honestly cared they would dedicate their servers to not being hacked like christmas this year were almost every single person could not get onto either psn or xbox live. This shows the lack of dedication and care that our favorite consule companies have for us consumers. This translates to our games and out gameplay

I don't think digital downloading is bad. Because I know me and alot of other people like to physically have the disc in hand. Grant I do download games once inawhile. But honestly when have games been competitivly priced? They have been 60 dollars (in the USA) for very long time I dont see that changing
-
Get over it grandpa the future is broken games, with built in dlc that you can't play
-
The problem with the industry has to do a lot with the consumers. I used to be just as guilty about it as anyone else... We spoke with our money and now the industry is taking advantage of us. Preorders used to actually make sure that you had a game the day it was released. There hasn't been a game in recent history that I couldn't buy somewhere day 1 without preordering.
