While all the others I feel are self-explanatory, I will explain why I feel Digital Downloads and Pre-Loading is wrong IMHO. The convenience is great that's obvious what may not be is it is not as competitively priced if they have a captive market, competition is good. Used game market will also die. There may be others I have have missed or couldn't fit in, so please feel free to list other concerns you have if I have not included them or comment on the poll options above if you want. Edit: Dishonourable mentions Pre-orders & Day 1DLC Split screen not being included as standard. Renting servers EA Access & the ilk #Gamersuniteanddontputupforthisshite!

  • I'm more concerned that player are rats who will always try to exploit the easiest way to win or achieve their goal. The industry doesn't bother me so much, but i'm disgusted with most gamers though.

I hate that most games lack Splitscreen, do game developers think that we like to play with strangers more than friends and family?

          • "Pay to win" or micro-transactions is probably a smaller issue than I believe it to be but it's still a stupid trend climbing the ranks in both free to play games and games you've already paid to own a copy of. (Not sure why the broken game option is the most popular, as we push developers to make games faster and faster giving them less time to work out all the kinks in their game and if it's just the devs being lazy then it is a problem but it's up to the buyer to choose to keep that game and support it or not)

            • Biggest concern is the fact that consumers aren't smart enough to know that we deserve better consoles/games. It's pretty easy to say that xbox/playstation should be better and that games are often overhyped. At this point barely making 1080p(or less in many cases) and 30fps is not acceptable. Truly, next gen was not next gen. What it comes down to is the consumer, we allowed this to happen by blindly accepting products from companies that don't concern themselves with consumers but rather the consumers money. Just my .02$

              • These corporations need to understand that making a good game requires time. I know that time = money, but I would rather wait for a good game, than to have a broken game that's unplayable for 6 months after launch. I'm pretty sure that's the general consensus here as well.

DIGITAL DOWNLOAD GAMES: A SCAM?? Why do so many digital games cost the same as store bought games? Shouldn't they be cheaper? (I'm talking psn, I don't know about Xbox) I read an article that said when you buy a game disc at a retail store (let's say a store like GameStop), your $60 is divided up so that publisher gets $27, the retailer (the GameStop) gets $15, cost of making, packing, and shipping the disc to stores is around $4, the console manufacturer takes $7, and the cost of returning unsold games is about $7. If you buy games digitally, there is no retailer (-15), no making, packing, and shipping the disc to store (-4), and no need to return unsold games (-7). That's $26 extra that we pay when we buy games digitally. I almost feel like I'm wasting money now when I buy a digital game. I don't knew about you, but I'd rather pay $34 as opposed to $60. Any thoughts, explanations, or corrections??

I dislike how games have gone from being 50$ with 5$-15$ dlc to games being 60$ and 35$ dlc. When i come across games on xbox live the premiums, ultimate and other extravagent editions are all 90-100$ It also makes me sad that dlc is coming out weeks after release opposed to months. Broken games are really killing the industry Also i want to add the micro transactions really pissed me off it gtav. And if i want to use glitches im my game (dying light) then please give me an option to turn them on with barring competitive play and achievements. I think saints row did a great job with that and gta iv was good as well.

                    • The most important problem on this list is the fact that devs release broken games and spend time after launch to clean up their mess and polish their turds. There's an easy way to fix these problems. Stop pre-ordering games. Stop buying micro transactions. Stop buying repackaged story, missions, weapons, game modes labeled as DLC. If everyone had waited for the MCC to release and for people to test the multiplayer I'm sure not one damn sane person would have purchased it day one. Freaking Destiny. A HUGELY popular pre-order that ended up disappointing a shit ton of people. Don't get me started on the order. I can't make a difference myself but we as gamers need to protect our hobby from buy-to-win cookie cut DLC heavy 20 minute broken games. #gamersunite

My #1 is unfinished/broken #2 micro transactions, especially in game monetary purchases. #3 always online #4 day 1 dlc or anything that comes out too close to launch, planned dlc is also a problem.

Most concerning thing for me is publishers cutting a chunk from the original game and selling it 3 months later with a 20 dollar price tag
*cough Bungie *cough
• Honestly I like dlc as long as it is AFTER the game has been fully released with every idea and system they had in place. I hate seeing fantastic games getting loads of content that was intended to be in place for the sake of dlc. Dlc should be an after thought, not on the forefront of a developers mind. Micro transactions make me worry about p2w games and that everything will become Farmville. Broken games concern me for the future in general. I get it, games are like...10x the size of what they use to be and a lot more can go wrong in the process. But some games (Assassins Creed Unity) have obvious problems right off the bat. Making me wonder if developers even test their game or if they package it all together and let the first day buys be the testers for the game. I have faith in a lot of companies: From Software, Bethesda, parts of Gearbox and most of what Nintendo does but Ubisoft, Activision Expecially scare me for what the future of gaming could become.

                                        • Look no further than Evolve on Day 1. Everything locked behind DLC on launch day? No one should have bought this game just for that reason. At some point, gamers have to put their foot down. Things get more exploitive every day it seems.
