He raps but generally on a hip hop beat, I dont know why but I love everything that he does. Look up "making waves", its an old song of his but its probably my favorite song from anyone.

So he actually does rap, I only ever heard him do that half assed singing thing. I skipped through his newer album just now, and he sounds a bit too pop for me. He's got a decent flow, but just not the right thing for me.
