Digital Download Exception for Limited Edition Owners

I posted in the help forums a few days ago wondering about the digital upgrade that is being offered when transferring from previous generation to current generation consoles. After a long but professional debate about the costs associated with hard copy vs digital versions of the game, as well as control of licensing, I had to come to the agreement that it is not reasonable to offer a digital upgrade on base game hard copy purchases. That being said, Limited Edition Hard Copy games were also discussed, and it was concluded that the costs of the game do not defend an argument against being allowed to download the digital upgrade for free. The Limited Edition Copy of Destiny Retails for $100. I don't know if this version can be traded in, nor do I think the person buying a limited edition version of the game would WANT to turn it in, even after getting a digital download of the current gen game. Yes there is extra Print Cost associated with this version of the game, but definitely not more than $10 bucks worth. We can add a buck for extra weight in shipping too....so $11 dollar COGS on a $100 retail priced game. (Bungie, correct me if my costing is off on this). Given that it seems retailers bump wholesale price by 25 - 33 percent, if we shave that off Bungie is making $66 - $75 on the limited edition. Minus the $11 COGS gets us down to $55 - $64, which is $14 - $23 more than they make on a base game hard copy, or $10 - $19 more than they make on a digital copy of the game. (This is assuming $4 Cogs on standard hard copy games, and that Bungie's gross profit before Cogs on both digital and hard copy games is $45). In conclusion, Bungie, give limited edition Destiny Players a FREE digital upgrade! I know this offer is one that didn't need to be offered at all, but since it IS being offered, it is completely logical in my mind to give limited edition owners the same benefit as players who buy the digital BASE game. P.S. I am making this argument to support my little brother, PedroKantor 40k (http://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/254/2170684), as HE owns a limited edition version of the game and just recently procured an Xbox One.
