Must read , the greatest idea in this game yet !!!

So , I gathered a lot of information from the forums about the trading system and vault space and then it hit me !!!! You know at the left side where the speaker is , that huge door that locks on a space im the tower . We can open it and create a guardian market. So here's the system. You go into the server , find a clear table and set up maximum 8 items for stock. You can only set up , upgrade materials. Such as Spinmetal Helium filaments Relic iron Spirit bloom Plasteel plating Hardoinic essence Sapphire wire Ascendant shards Ascendant energy. With the price you wish to sell it with ... like a stack of 10 spin metal for 2000 glimmer. This creates a minor trading system and a use of glimmer and people who have a lot of materials in their vault More of the system , you can put up a stack of 200 spin metal and when someone presses it you choose the amount you wish to buy by text. With math the system gives you it and takes the proper glimmer price. How to set up my shop ?? Easy you find a table , stand there hold X or square and place your item. Your guardian will go into an animation of the vendor and cannot be kicked due to idle. How do we benefit from this ??? 1 : bungie has more playing hours. 2 : we can make use of glimmer. 3 : clear the vualt 4 : not waste time on planets unless you want glimmer by sellig items. Everyone wins Edit 2 : Hello community , I have been quite and brain storming your ideas. Also I have realised there are issues that need to be resolved , other than the correct spelling of vault..... I introduce to you 2 different idea and I need your reviews on them. Idea 1 " trade in the black market system " : basically or actually the majority think glimmer is useless but in idea 2 you will experience somethig else... back to idea 1, you would go up to the guardian that is selling his stock of spinmetal. So you have already 1 option which is to buy it via glimmer. Now you could see his recomendations , an example he's selling 10 spinmetal for 2000 glimmer and could also be traded for 10 helium filaments. That is if he only put that material in his wish list when you buy or trade. Idea 2 : yes this one contains a vendor "yay". His name is the "changer" , what he does is he transfera currencies. Like glimmer into mote of light , marks ' strange coins etc.... So here's the setup of for the " changer " 7500 glimmer = 1 mote of light 7500 glimmer = 1 strange coin 5000 glimmer = 2 crucible mark 3500 glimmer = 2 vanguard marks. Conclusion : so basically those 2 ideas are a start to make use of glimmer. I need your opinions , like bump for trading and bump #2 for the "changer".. have fun cheers Bump if you like we need the minimum of 1000 comments for deej to read..

  • When I ask our vote for more Vault space I actually only care for more weapon space primarily. It's the only section that desperately needs more space. I wish they get rid of the duplicate stacks thing. Why should I be limited to 20 synthesis when I stack unlimited coins and 200 materials. That would fix the inventory section of the Vault. As for Armour, your character has more than enough space to hold all the exotics and a generous amount of legendary items, and to be honest you're probably going to stick with the items that get you to the highest light level apart from the exotics and a couple legendary pieces that help with whatever weapons or skills you use for pvp. So the Armour section of the Vault is only really useful if you have duplicate characters to share Armour and if anything else to swap engrams to other characters.

  • I've heard a lot of amazing suggestions as to how the game can be improved. This is not one of them.

  • I'm pretty sure the frustration with vault space comes mostly from slots to store weapons. I don't think you solved this problem. The maximum people allowed in a tower breaks most of your idea. This isn't the best idea ever. Probably not even top 100.

    • Bungie wants you to populate the planets, not the towers. the ( "More of the system , you can put up a stack of 200 spin metal and when someone presses it you choose the amount you wish to buy by text. With math the system gives you it and takes the proper glimmer price.") plan would work with a tower vender.

    • Glimmer is easy to get, materials are easy to get and weapons/ armours easy to get. So why do we need this?

    • So as a seller, you'd be sitting in the tower hoping that one of the random 15 other players wants something from you specifically (assuming there are no other sellers)? I think you'd be sitting there forever, wasting your time.

      • I think there needs to be a citizen group or individual citizens in the market that give you tasks like skyrim does. This would give awesome side quests

      • my problem is largely with Glimmers. They're practically useless and you get so many of them. I've stayed at the cap of 25000 for awhile now without a place to spend it. I'm doing the bounty for getting Invective and the last bit of it requires you to have 50 special ammo synthesizers, 250 Glimmers a pop, totaling 12500 Glimmers. That's so far the best use of Glimmers. It'd be nice to have a bank in the tower where you can exchange currencies. e.g. 500 Glimmers for 1 Crucible or Vanguard mark or marks from other factions. Or if we could buy materials with Glimmers, especially the common ones, like Spinmetal, Spirit Bloom.

      • Sounds alright but why would someone want glimmer in return for their materials. For someone maxed out on glimmer this would be pointless. Also for someone who isn't maxed out. I have never had a circumstance where I needed more glimmer due to the fact that you can't get anything good with it.

      • If the trade system is currency based it will be exploited. Just keep it simple with bartering for similar item type/rarity.

assuming this is for the four materials, why don't they just have a way to sell your materials to a "reserve" and you can also buy from that same place? They could even add economy to this, such as starting out with 10,000 of each material for $100 (glimmer) for, say, spinmetal. Sell a spinmetal, the total number goes up by 1, and you get $100. Or you can buy 1 spinmetal, and pay $100. But the price is based on the number available! If they number of spinmetal in the reserve increases (meaning more people selling than buying) the price drops and it becomes cheaper to buy and less rewarding to sell. The reverse is also true, so if at some point there was only 10 spinmetal left in the reserve it would cost like $25,000 and the next person who sold a spinmetal would get $25,000 (The prices need to be caped at the maximum glimmer amount or else no one can buy). What do you think? Started my own competitor thread here if you want to bump this simpler method: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/79030233

        • There should be an auction house for materials. You set a buy it now price at say 2000 glimmer and bid price of 500. Someone can buy the items outright or place a bid and hope no one else outbids or buys it now.
