On usable enemy weapons - suggestions / opinions

Dear community / Bungie, Since people at Bungie put quite some effort in crafting interesting new arrays of alien weaponry I thought it would only be appropriate that these weapons find their way in to the hands of worthy operators: Ours. Obviously, Destiny is not built in a way that a player just pries a shrapnel launcher from the cold hands of a Fallen captain, as it was to be done in Halo (I'm talking of that mechanism not the shrapnel launcher). In Destiny we have to earn them.... and the best thing about that is that we can also keep them. In my vision the alien weapons can be obtained as a legendary/exotic drop by slaying members of the respective race (that sounds somewhat racist ... my apologies to all alien races ... love). Here are some basic categorizations and mechanics I thought of (based on the in-game abilities of those weapons): Fallen Shock pistol --> primary --> semiautomatic / arch damage Shock rifle --> primary --> pulse / tracking, arch damage Shrapnel launcher --> special --> semiautomatic / solar damage Wire rifle --> special --> charge cycle (like fusion rifle), semiautomatic / arch damage Shock dagger / blade -->special --> possibilities for dual wielding, lunge ability / arch damage as long as weapon is charged (special ammo), when no charges left the weapons deal kinetic damage Hive Shredder --> primary --> automatic / void damage Boomer --> heavy --> semiautomatic / grenade-launcher-like, with small magazin --> single shots lethal only to weak enemies / arch damage Cleaver --> special --> maybe lunge ability and/or area-of-effect/damage cone abilities Vex Slap rifle --> primary --> automatic, semiautomatic / solar damage Line rifle --> special --> charge cycle, semiautomatic / solar damage Torch hammer --> heavy --> semiautomatic / grenade-launcher-like, with small magazin --> single shots lethal only to weak enemies / void damage Instead of reloading all Vex weapons could draw energy from a slowly regenerating core (like Icebreaker) Cabal Slug rifle --> primary --> automatic / solar damage Projection rifle --> heavy --> semiautomatic / grenade-launcher-like, with small magazin --> single shots lethal only to weak enemies / solar damage Heavy slug thrower --> heavy --> automatic / maybe warm-up phase or overheating but no need to reload Cabal shield --> special --> maybe lunge ability / slowed-down movement but improved sensors upon activation (depletes special ammo) -> motion-tracker shows dots instead of vectors and/or outlines of enemies in the vincinity are visible to user and allies close-by. So those are my ideas. I have some more but what kind of discussion would that be when I leave no arguments for you to say. Different ideas? Additions? think I suck because I'm a crying fan-boy? Share it all and I'm sure someone from Bungie will read it. Thank you

  • +1 will buy again. But in all for realsies, I think this is a fantastic idea. Maybe they could think about it for the second or third DLC? Add it in, kinda like the extra bounties and stuff they're adding for TDB? If this becomes a real thing, I'd totally wait. Although, I think that it would make a bit more sense if these became raid weapons as apposed to drops, strikes or bounties. Sort of like a "I killed everyone and made it out alive" trophy. Another thing to think about is if they would have passive and damage upgrades. Or would they be received as is. And if upgrades are available, maybe the charge core you mentioned for the Vex weapons could be it or something like that maybe?
