This is very very vague. Go through and ONLY read the dialogue. This story tells you nothing because when you beat story mode you don't know what happend really. You only know what they tell you which is very close to nothing.

    What happened is you found out how to heal your traveler, and you do heal it, DLC, and Destiny 2-4 will continue it. Plus reading Grimoire Cards tell a lot.

  • It's not very effective. The lack of any in the moment story is appaling. Alot of the of the thin story could be corrected if we had more moments to connect with our surroundings. We know little about dinklbot...I mean what would we call him if we didn't call him dinklbot bot. The speaker still hasn't spoken to us about the vex and he didn't even congratulate us.

    Omg dude that's not a name. That's the same thing as our gaurdian not having a name. Which makes zero sense. Only the vanguard Gaurdians have names everyone else are just called gaurdian and ghost. you should at least be able to name your gaurdian and ghost. Dinklbot, little light, and what ever else improvised name art real names. Don't try to say...we can just call him floating rock...

  • Many stories use nameless characters. It adds either a sense of mystery or that they arent shown to be or have the rights to a name. All guardians are are fighting machines that arent shown to have feelings. Our guardians were brought back from the dead, we don't really die. Maybe the fact our guardians are nameless is due to the fact they are really just shells of their former selves forced to fight for the Traveller. The Ghost are basically the pawns of the Traveller, sent out to draw out the major powers of darkness so as they could be destroyed. The guardians are the knights and other useful pieces back from the dead. The ghost [b]could[/b] be nameless because the ghost is only a pawn, and the guardian because it's only purpose for being alive is to destroy. We aren't meant to be the single badass of the cosmos like Master Chief, we are shown to be just another chess piece in the game of light vs darkness.

  • As I stated this is the condensed version of the core story. There is a lot more to it than just that. The story in the game goes into more detail and it also does a lot of foreshadowing setup for what is to come in the DLC.

  • No this is exactly like the story but the missions have other info that is useless without info keys. For instance the traveler. The game we play has very little to do with the traveler. We don't even touch on the subject. It's Luke ignore all these questions, we need you to blow this black thing up. We don't even get a cut scene explaining what we exactly did to help.

  • Did you read what I posted? It has everything to do with the Traveler. [spoiler]In the beginning it describes how the Traveler came and terraformed the planets, started the Golden Age of Man. The darkness then came after the Traveler and in a great battle the traveler won but only barely. The Traveler was crippled and went dormant, but not before it created the Ghosts to continue trying to protect mankind. In one of the missions you find out the Hive are draining the light of the Traveler and are tasked with stopping the ritual. After stopping the ritual you realize the Hive have had a shard of the Traveler all this time and you free it so it can be restored. You don't have a one on one conversation with the Traveler or go and visit it but it is a main part of the story. Because of your actions as a guardian the Traveler can begin to heal and mankind will stand a chance against the darkness. [/spoiler]
