Hi Shadestride, I'm really sorry you are hitting different disconnections and network errors. Your frustration is palpable and I truly want you to be able to enjoy Destiny. You mention taking several different steps here and that you are a network technician, so I will not provide additional troubleshooting suggestions. Instead, if you are looking for a refund, you will need to contact your retailer. For others still hitting errors, the suggestions we offer on our help pages have absolutely helped players.   • sigh... I've done all of this. All of this is not helping. Your servers keep going down or sporadically dropping. I'm A NETWORK ANALYST AND TECHNICIAN... I'm not a 12 year old that got this game for xmas and is playing directly connected to the DSL modem. I know what I'm doing. There is nothing in your help guides that have worked. None of your trouble shooting is doing any good. I want to see proof that this is being worked on.

  • BNGHelp0, You are worthless and extremely disrespectful. The retailer didn't make the game and the retailer is not responsible for the servers. Tell me where on the game box or information does it state that you can only play the game when "it is working."????

  • I too am still getting chronic Caterpilar errors. I have reset my NAT. Been on the phone with my ISP multiple times. Its destiny, clearly. I can play hours of Battlefield 4 without disconnect. At this point I cannot complete a patrol mission. I love this game. But I am so frustrated that I cant play it that I am to the point of trading it in almost. Help please!   • Bull shit answer. I didn't ever have errors until the patch 10/17. Haven't been able to play since. It's not my NAT, Internet, console, or bad luck. It's your shitty ability to make something that works again. I'd be happy getting butt -blam!- by the vex mythoclast, suros, strong autorifles and all if I could just simply play the game. Fixing shit that I don't care about and rendering the game unplayable is terrible. Remove all your flawed -blam!-ing patches and create one that works from scratch.

  • I can't play Destiny for more than 15 minutes without being dc'd due to hawk/caterpillar/other creatures. I've given up trying to play the story side of the game. I finished the first 5 levels on Earth. That's it. The only playing I can do is running around the Cosmodrome. I've set up the static IP for my xbox, port forwarded/port ranged all listed ports, DMZ'd my router, used my DNS settings, used Google's DNS settings, cleared the cache on my xbox countless times, contacted Xbox Live Support, contacted Time Warner Cable. All problems lead to inefficiencies on your end. I'm tired of not being able to play a great game because of your servers. Please fix this or admit that you don't care because you already got paid.

  • Bungie, this is old! To many problems are happening to to many people. For 90$ this is not ok. I could understand if it was a game that came from a Cracker Jack box but it isn't bungie!!! It's a ps4 system , that's at the top of gaming consoles right now and y'all put out this garbage for it!! I think I speak for everyone when I say our patience is running thin if not already broken for some. What are y'all gonna do when everyone who bought the game( millions of people) starts sending it back for refund...,Exactly. so get on your job and do your job right for once. FIX THIS!

Per an update a few weeks ago that page specifically states to not foward ports if not getting one of those specific messages. Since the bee error isnt listed o. That sheet can you please exain we should or shouldnt be doing this. The directions on that page are very unclear

    And why is Destiny the only game having these issues on my console. It ran fine the first few weeks until Bungie started these patches, they even admitted the patches caused problems for several people.

  • And once again I've been discconnected after playing for an hour on the weekly on the highest level, I was on the tank and two more hits and then stupid freaking catepilla error, if it's not that one its the stupid weasel error...this is the only game that randomly disconnects while I'm in the middle of a huge battle, its beyond ridicoulous this is just -blam!-ing sad!!!!!!!!!!!!   • I hate to say it, as much as I've thoroughly enjoyed destiny and hopefully will continue, I am getting really annoyed with disconnecting problems! 5 crucible games in a row, less than 5 min in I have been kicked with bee errors! I only got one kill the last three and I'm kicked instantly! I would really like to at least finish one game I mean this is a bit ridiculous. I really like destiny, but if I can't play without getting kicked every 2 minutes why should I bother to even play it?

  • As much as I appreciate your reply which goes against my previous conception of your support team not really caring since this is the first reply I've gotten for a submission here after about 12 entries, but I've already done all of that. Opened the ports accordingly and I am NAT 2. I play a few other games on my ps4 online and I never have any problems. KZ:SF, COD Ghosts, etc. I also play games on my PC that require an Internet connection and I never have any slow downs or problems with that either, let alone disconnects in the middle of a raid or flashpoint in Star Wars. I said this before and I will say it again, I'm a network administrator however that being said, I'm sure that approximately 90 percent of the people that are making posts on these threads are not. There should be no need for us to do stuff that you suggest. No other games require us to do any of that. Its very disappointing and even more so, frustrating. I kept thinking to myself that I would lose myself in this game by playing it nonstop but I have never been able to play for more than an hour or so at a time, if I'm lucky. Sometimes its 10 or 15 minutes max. Why don't you just tell us the problem is that your servers keep going down or that you were not prepared for the load that you got. At least with honesty and telling us what the real problems are and that you're going to fix them would give me a little more hope. But as it stands right now, I'm not hopeful at all.
