HUNTER - what are the ADVANTAGES?

Hi all, I'm curious to hear others opinion, especially high level hunters (I'm a hunter). Since I started the raid I've noticed a few things: 1) special on both classes are basically useless. 2) every other class has something that deals plenty of damage to help. 3) all we can do is run and jump fast. So for raid, how do you find your Hunter excels? What are the advantages of being one in the raid, if any? Would be great to hear everyone's opinion. Cheers!

  • lol, what? 1) Golden Gun is freaking awesome for the raid. For the first part of the Atheon fight where you have to grab the two relics, I can solo one of the portals. Gjallarhorn + Golden Gun is enough to kill the hydra on the other side. Then when people get randomly teleported, I can burn down the mobs by myself allowing my other buddies to concentrate on killing the oracles and cleansing the Marked by the Void debuff. I have a lvl 29 warlock and a lvl 27 titan and neither of these classes can do what I mentioned as easily. 2) Now while I do believe that the hunter has the weakest of grenade choices between the 3 classes, they still have some ok ones for the raid. I use the incendiary grenade because it can hit the most enemies and puts a burn effect on them. but other than grenades, the hunter is balanced enough for the raid. You must rely on having good weapons for the vast majority of the raid just like the other classes. 3) Trust me, Golden Gun is probably tied with a Sunsinger's self-revive for being the best super for the raid. Golden Gun is the longest ranged super in the game and can be used on multiple enemies that are far apart from each other. This makes it the super of choice for trying to kill oracles quickly. Also, this really isn't a huge deal, but the Gunslinger is the only class that can use their melee ability on raid bosses without having to expose themselves to too much danger. Now I haven't mentioned Bladedancer for the raid because its absolute garbage. You can't use arcblade on the boss effectively without dying. Using the cloaking abilities to revive people is taken away for the level 30 raid. If you're using bladedancer in the raid, you're either stupid or doing it for the hell of it. Gunslinger has better things to offer in a raid than Bladedancer does (for now).
