It's Thursday night and I still can't download the latest patch on PS4. Stops at 3%. Reported it several times. Have seen no trending threads about this issue.

So is it safe to play on ps4 or should I wait so I don't lose my characters?

I just had the exact same problem when PSN finally got itself together... It just let me in tho so I dont know the code that came I didnt observe well because I'm a newb. e.e

i cant login to the game.. its november 8 and cant get past charcter select screen.. just disconnect from destiny server Austalia ..ps4 platform

Why does every update recently just seem to make this game more unplayable? I'd seem to get kicked out more often every new update. I've been unable to finish even just a mission for a few weeks now (much less a strike or VoG, thank god there's no reason I'd need to do those things to progress in game...) And I know it's not my internet connection. I've checked. Now I can just be in orbit and if I try to go anywhere, I get booted. I just know that next week I won't even be able to log on at all. Actually, since I started writing this I haven't been able to log on. Guess I don't have to wait patiently for that anymore. I am beyond furious at the experience I've had so far with Destiny. I bought a game that I can't even use now. And even when I could play, I was pretty dissapointed with what what offered. (Do the same 6 missions until you get better gear to do them at a harder difficulty! I'd make a joke about how the Raid ultimately becomes the same thing. But I haven't been able to play it once without getting booted ffs...) At this point I have 2 hopes: 1- Miraculously, Bungie decides to fix this game and make it playable. Maybe focus on having everyone be able to log in and play before adding some new nonsense for Crucible every week. (It just might work, it certainly hasn't been tried yet.) 2- Whatever next-gen Triple A game is coming out soon drops and a huge chunk of people stop playing Destiny. Then, Maybe Bungie and Activision will realize just how bad of a product they have and try to fix it (see: hope #1) But I know what I'll get in reality is no update fixing connection issues. A slew of new crucible variants, events or whatever that I won't use (Even if I could). And even when a new game drops, people will still stay with this dissapointing game for some reason. All the while complaining about how much they hate every thing about it. Basically, it'll keep doing what it's been doing since day 1... Congratulations on reading my whole post. Sorry it was kinda long. For your efforts. Have a decent piece of legendary gear. Instead of a lvl 16 rare from RNG. Or instead of nothing, after being the best on your crucible team. (While your teammate with a -8 K/D ratio gets a legendary)

Hello I am a new user PS4 and I'm currently playing in destiny. I want to give birth to my disdain for the way they are managing the various network problems. My connection is not fast with Xbox Live I have never had problems but now with your server does it. Quickly update the situation. I also take this opportunity to say that though the game is fun, totally lacking in history and narrative, in comparison Halo has a story to novel. Of course, you will complete the story with the dlc, but then this form of business is more suited to games free to play after paying € 60 to play when their lords decide to offer a service network is a decent joke. I am extremely disappointed, told by those of your securities has always been in love.

Same Here, with ps4 update. Shame, because all bugs aside, destiny is one helluva game

my Xbox One is also having issues and not connection to xbox live through destiny even though my network is fine

I'm not so much having issues signing into Destiny servers but staying signed in! I haven't been able to complete a strike or crucible match without it kicking me out!

Maybe you should wait to release a patch until after a large psn patch. These psn updates aren't known to be very stable....
