Did my first few checkpoints on my first hard raid and generally got ascendant materials, but the legendary hand cannon fatebringer did drop after the oracles. I've been told by friends is quite rare/uncommon and only drops occasionally in raid. Is this true? And is it any good? Used it for around 10 minutes and I already prefer it to thorn... I just wanted to know its quality and rarity before committing my time to upgrading it! Thanks

2 RepliesIts good. Get explosive rounds and exploding perk with outlaw. Hella fun gun to use. Great overall mob dps because of the reload with outlaw
-
Great for arc shields
-
It's the best hand cannon in the game but I don't have hawkmoon so that may be better.
-
A teammate in my raid last night got it on the Templar loot drop and freaked out. He'd been wanting it and was so excited he ran to the first Gorgon and shot it yelling, "Look! My gun shoots blue streaks! It's so awesome!" We laughed as we died.

2 RepliesFatebringer is best hand cannon trust me i have it maxed out and its soo powerfull
-
I would trade my vex for it. I love hand cannons!
-
Only drops from templar on hard.
-
It's a pretty great handcannon, plus if a nightfall mission has the arc burn modifier it kicks ass
-
Fatebringer is way better in PVE due to its clip size, lightening reload speed and AOE upgrades. Thorn is better in PVP because you can kill in 2 shots, technically. Just land 2 headshots and the DOT will take care of the rest :p

6 RepliesFatebringer is beast and definitely in the top 3 best hand cannon with Last Word and Hawkmoon. sadly, i don't have the last two. :(
-
I want it
-
Got that hand cannon a few raids ago on the templar it's great only does 5-10 damage less then my Last Word all I need now is the raid pulse rifle and vex and I'll have all the raid weapons.
-
I did the raid on hard with 3 different groups this week and in each raid someone got the Fatebringer.
-
Want.

7 RepliesSeveral hard raids down, and still haven't found one. I honestly want that hand canon over the Vex Mytho
-
1 Replyit makes raid enemies your Bi*ch.

4 RepliesFatebringer is awesome for pve but not the best hand cannon. I think hawkmoon is best hand cannon available but I haven't had a chance to try the last word yet. Fatebringer is ok in pvp but I prefer hawkmoon or thorn in pvp. Fatebringer wrecked in this weeks nightfall with that arc burn!
-
2 RepliesI was wondering if you can get it from atheon on hard or only the oracles because I really want it?
-
I still prefer my Timur's Lash with Field Scout. 13 rounds with Grenadier (More grenades) and Outlaw (Ridiculous reload speeds.) But if you happen to be doing anything with Arcburn active, oh hell yeah.

9 RepliesBy far my favorite weapon in the game by a long-shot.
-
2 RepliesBest hand cannon
-
4 RepliesGo solo an Arc Burn nightfall with that thing.
-
16 Repliesbest pve handcannon by far
-
5 RepliesIt has my vote for the best hand cannon. I was a big Devil You Know fan then I found this on my 6th attempt. Handles almost exactly like the devil. About the same damage as the devil. Also adds Arc damage and violently exploding minions. Captains are 2 shots with an explosion afterwards that can take out close dregs. It eats thrulls. Hit one in the head and four more die. Give it a go in this week's nightfall. Mine is doing 4400+ damage to red tagged enemies on headshots.

3 RepliesEdited by ShadowSpear: 10/27/2014 7:36:37 PMI've had it drop 3 times for me in the raid, but the game seems to give me weapons over armor. Fate bringer is a hard mode hand cannon only. So in context, yes it's rare, probably more so than exotics simply because how few have done the raid let alone on hard mode. I've used it a bit just for fun, it's pretty nasty hand cannon(meaning good) especially once u get the exploding enemies upgrade get a head shot in a group and everyone goes to half life making everyone shot after that basically 1 hit kill. Not a big hand cannon fan but if I were to use a hand cannon out of the ones I've shot, it would be my choice. It hits really hard and has a very acceptable firing rate. Pretty accurate too.

11 RepliesI have two of them, they're awesome. Especially when you get the outlaw perk. Whenever you get a precision kill, you get a large explosion and instant reload. The only drawback is that it has very low ammo. Even with enhanced ammo perks from armor, you only have about 100 shots, but they do pack a punch.
