I spend more than $35 on dinner in one night, I literally couldn't possibly care less about any of the stuff this guy says, even if it was true. Which it isn't. Plus you are the 500th person to share this on the forum today.

 • You should just donate all your extra cash directly to bungie/activision.

 • Why would I do that? I was implying that $35 is a paltry sum, not that I have no use for my money...

 • Trying to make a point about value. Bungie could charge any amount they want and some people would still pay it. They have less incentive to produce quality products when people are just blindly handing over their cash. If the consumer is more discerning and objective, companies will be forced to create products that are actually worth what they are charging.

 • Blindly handing over cash? I paid $60 for game I've played over a hundred hours. Pretty good investment to me. $35 for another DLC to keep me playing is just fine. It costs $25 for DVD that only entertains you for 90 minutes.

 • You still buy $25 dollar dvds?

 • I don't but I could... I probably should have said $25-$30 Blu-Ray / DVD / digital download combo pack.

 • I'm not blindly handing over cash. I've weighed the value of the product and decided it was worth it. I've already said I don't buy any CoD DLCs because I don't think they are worth it. I happen to think this one is. I will gladly not Go out to eat for one night to pay for it. If it was more money, it might not be worth it to me.

 • Fair enough. There are other hobbies out there you know. Even other games that don't force you to replay identical gameplay constantly. Bungie is counting on people not having anything better to do.

 • I do though. I'm a teacher, a pilot, a significant other to a beautiful girl, I scuba dive, surf, go to the gym, play football, golf and tennis, and hang out with my family. I have a life, and in the spare time remaining I like to play Destiny. And I'm still completely fine with giving Bungie the equivalent of one nights drinking at a bar to acquire the continuation of this game. If you aren't, I'm fine with that too. I just want people to stop coming on here with all this complete and utter hatred for something that is meaningless in all aspect other than as an enjoyable time-filler.

 • Good for you. I worry that if this is how developers are managing content through dlc today, 10 years from now the value will be much worse. I agree that the cost of this game even including the dlc is reasonable, but I feel that the industry is trending in a direction that takes advantage of its consumers. I appreciate your civility.

 • That's the point, if we do something now rather than later we can stop the video game industry from collapsing like it did in 1983. We will start seeing more cod style games where they reward you for nothing to give you a false sense of accomplishment and we will start seeing less of games that involve actual strategy and coherent thought. No more comprehensive story lines with meaning and different symbolism to get your mind to think. If we can stop it now by not purchasing these games and the dlc we can hit the dev's and publishers where it will hurt them the most which is their wallets.

 • The industry collapsed a year before Mario Brothers?

 • That is a tremendous over reaction. The industry is not going to collapse. It's bigger than it's ever been. I enjoy the game. I'm going to buy the DLC. I feel that $100 of my money is well spent on it, and you can't tell me otherwise. If you don't want to buy it that's totally fine. I never but CoD DLCs because I think they are overpriced for what they are. That's me voting with my wallet. But I don't go on the CoD forums and complain and try to convince everyone there to not buy it, and I'm especially not condescending to people who don't agree with me, like you were in your previous posts.

 • It's not an over reaction. It will happen eventually, and it's why all the triple A games that released with the next gen systems were so overhyped till they were released to the public, then we're met with mediocre review scores.

 • Mediocre review scores mean absolutely nothing. Simply because a game gets good scores, doesn't mean the majority of people who played the game liked it, and simply because a game gets bad scores, it doesn't mean that the majority hated it.

 • Well, agree to disagree then. I think it will be fine though. I don't understand the constant need for negativity, it's like people want it to all come crashing down so they can say they were right. Not saying you specifically, just a recent trend I have noticed. I think the hype machine is to blame partly, but I don't think it's indicative of an imminent collapse.
