My Friend With A Disability Was Already Thinking of Quitting...

...and now we find out that the random teleport change at Atheon is actually going in. He has Cerebral Palsy. Basically my friend has limited mobility on one side, plus his hand doesn't work very well. He's been a real trooper since day one since we only really had three of us from the beginning and he enjoys playing Destiny. The only time I've seen him really struggle is with the 3 times we've done VoG together. He has the beginning (opening the door) through the Templar fight down, but he doesn't have enough experience with the rest of it to consider himself an asset rather than a liability. For Atheon we paired him up with someone outside to kill Supplicants and keep the portal up since it's easier for him to do that than to kill the Oracles in time to avoid a wipe (because he has slower reaction time). We never expected him to be able to do Hard mode VoG, but Normal was definitely (at least in my opinion) within his skill level. Now with the random teleport change, there's basically no reason for him to ever do VoG again since he'll feel responsible if the party wipes if he's teleported in. His self-confidence in the harder areas of Destiny was already low, and this is the final straw to break the camel's back... Edit: because there are apparently a few people out there who aren't taking disabled gamers seriously.
