E3 2k13 never forget
Let's take time to look through the trailer and pick out the lies and content that was cut
2:20- "all of this is playable space" "we could go there now"
3:23- ship flies in from orbit, dropping off player rather then just spawning in the designated spot
7:42- bosses drop loot
8:25- guns have actual talent trees
10:15- skybox gets changed by incoming ships
12:30- beginning of trailer showing a bunch of the cut story

I hate seeing what Destiny could have been its always such a sad thought when you compare it to what it is today. You dont need to remind me that I was lied to but it makes me happy that I got the game for free when I bought my xbox

The "all this is playable" bit seemed unrealistic back then. There also didn't appear to be anything terribly interesting out there, which you lot would also complain about.

4 RepliesI almost go taken out once by having a golden age satellite drop for a public event and let me tell you, the skybox does change as a result of a twelve ton satellite falling on ones head. The scenery and skybox do change as a result of in game events so simply saying that they do not change enough is invalid. Yes, these animations repeat in the same way without change but that is a debate for another time.To say these are lies is to look at the game within the confines of a very small viewpoint.

We COULD go there now. he is talking of the geometry that was used to develop the backdrop, everything you see has solid playable surfaces, and they hope to one day have us exploring those areas. There is no lie, you are blatantly misquoting him to suit whatever you wish it meant. As for bosses dropping loot, would you rather get the drop from the boss and run over and pickup the engram, or just see it at the end of the mission during the rewards screen? Because you're literally complaining about the semantics. You got something for beating them. Every time. You're simply complaining about the mechanic used to get it in your inventory. Guns still have talent trees, they are just laid out differently. Your complaint is again aesthetic... you just wanted to see them go diagonal instead of left to right? Skybox still gets changed by incoming ships during each players first entry into the Divide.

7 RepliesBOSSES NEVER DROP LOOT. only chests and mobs drop loots ship does NOT fly in from orbit to drop a player into the instance not ALL of it is playable space.

37 RepliesJust after 2:20 he also says "we [i][b]hope[/b][/i] to take you there [i][b]one day[/b][/i]" - aka not playable right now. Pretty sure when you spawn the implication [b]is[/b] that your ship dropped you off as it's shown that way multiple times in the actual game. Yeah, bosses don't directly drop loot (but you do get loot after missions/strikes end which they didn't show in their tech demo). But this was a tech demo to demonstrate the game's systems. You also don't pick an item straight up from engrams (unless they're green) in the game, yet it shows him picking thunderlord straight up from an engram when we all know you have to take it to the cryptarch. Again, just a tech demo to illustrate certain parts, not them saying 'this is exactly how the game will be'. Guns still have talent trees. They just look slightly different. Skybox changes with ships? What? Could it be maybe that they just timed those things to happen at the same time to show it off in the tech demo? Yeah, exactly. Although I'm still not sure what you're talking about in regards to that comment, feel free to enlighten me. Some of those scenes just happen in different locations now. Some have been cut. You think movies use every single piece of film they create? No, they don't, because they realise some things just don't work, or work better in different ways. You know they also have infinite ammo in that video, and endless supers (with no charge bar for their super). Omg you should write a thread about that too and how they totally LIED to us about it. Lolz. Seriously, stop feeling so self entitled that you create all this bullshit and start just enjoying the game. Spending your time like this in the forums is not helpful or productive.

Sure it could but they just ran out of time. If the game would have gotten pushed back again i know everyone here would have been disappointed. I dont think some complaining know that the tools used in this game make it totally possible to add new play space.

Like we are crazy for not listening to them. Just go away already.
