Is it just me or does it feel like Vanguard marks and Crucible marks are way different in relativity to being able to get gear and level up? I have been playing forever on my titan ( second character) which has been strict PvE, whereas my Hunter was strict PvP, both have been played a ton but my Titan is still lacking on gear, why you might ask? The answer is because the Strikes don't give enough marks for the time vested! It is almost not even worth it when you get to rank 2 and still don't have enough marks to buy one piece.

Edited by CanterlotMentor: 10/18/2014 9:44:38 AMi disagree on the enough strike marks part. What i do not understand is the 100 mark cap for a hole week. its basicly a slap and a middlefinger to the full time gamers. wich is not fair becouse they ( like me ) are still working their ass off to get the marks What i also dont understand is why crucible only gets you 3 marks for a win , and 2 for a loss. and a simple strike gives you 6. while both crucible and strikes have the exact same time played per match ( imo ) wich makes getting crucible marks is way harder than vanguard. In my opinion : - Delete the vanguard marks from public events, - Delete the 100 mark cap - Delete Vanguard marks from daily and increase the chance to get an legendary engram - Make both vanguard and crucible 2-3 marks per match - And maybe slightly higher prices for a item... Ps: before you work/married people begin crying it does not mean that when someone has 14 hours to game on a day , he has to do less to get the marks and get gear. and besides that i dont see why this is a problem that some people than might be higher gear in the longrun , becouse those people might help you getting gear too.. just saying. Cheers

Tiger Strikes. At 6 marks a strike plus the 5 from the Daily Heroic, you will be rolling in Vanguard Marks. Crucible is 3 marks a match if win. Definitely a slow grind.

I got 16 marks in less than an hour just going back and forth between public events. They only last a few minutes or less.

Don't you get 2 Crucible Marks for losing and 5 for winning? For Vanguard you get 5 for turning in materials, 4-5 for killing High Value Targets, a couple for doing patrols, 4-5 for doing Public Events, etc. Frankly you have way more options for getting Vanguard Marks than Crucible. After a grind of....probably 2 hours of purely doing Tiger Strikes I managed max out Marks for the week for a family member (was trying to get blue engrams for Strange Coins). Many of those Strikes I was saddled with people that didn't seem to know what they were doing so it went by a bit slow. If you have a good fireteam those Strikes are really quick and easy. From my experience (I don't play/like Crucible much) PvE can be slow if you aren't quicky grinding out the Strike Playlist but Crucible can be a drag.....

Still so stale, at least in the Crucible it is different every kill. The game becomes a time bucket with Vanguard I feel like, idk I'm just mad the armor from the crucible has really stupid blue marks all over it that shaders don't cover is all.

Weekly heroic is 25+ marks Strikes on 24 give you 6 marks per run. Do the math. Youre playing this game as if everything can be leveled up and finished within a week which is clearly the wrong mentality. Most of us players have ranked up our factions to only the 3rd level in a matter of about 3 weeks. Strikes can easily be rushed. It is hard for you because you are playing them through the grinding phase. Once you understand the mechanics and achieve better gear you will be able to get 100 marks per week in no time.

DISMANTLE & GET SHARDS ...

I max out early every week tbh

if you do the weekly strikes and daily PVE you will not have to do many strikes i got 30 marks for just completing nightfall and the heroic. Plus strikes are good to grind because of the engrams.
