Your still not understanding the problem, the problem was that the weapon itself was unbalanced.
Yes you outsmarted your opponent who had a mythocast, but you did so because your skill far outmatched his.
What happens when you come across a person with a vex who is just as skilled as you?
You would die, plain and simple.
What happens when you come across a whole coordinated team of vex holders?

I'm a solid pvp'er, but I have done the raid many times, and let me tell you, it's not that difficult. Just requires team work, nothing more.
The problem with this weapon, is that even though initially very few people had it. Eventually everyone would have it, and it would be the [b]only[/b] weapon ever used in crucible.
Why make assault rifles, fusion rifles, or any other gun for that matter, if one single gun, outmatched them all.
This is what unbalanced is.

You killed your entire comment with the first word. You're*. Second, YOU'RE not understanding the FACT that nerfs have NO place in PvE. They BUTCHERED auto rifles, the vex, pocket infinity, and others. Rendering them into squirt guns. The more they nerf, the more it hurts the MAJORITY of us who won't be dropping this game when advanced warfare releases. Though, that will be a joyous day for us, since we will no longer be governed by the tyranny of PvPers like you. The glory shall be ours that day fellow guardians. Rejoice.

One of the few that gets it. Even if I owned a Mythoclast I would still say the patch was warranted, the gun was f'n broke, period!

Vex just sounds like the Halo 2 and 3 Battle Rifle. Only weapon you need.

But its ok for you to use the suros regime or any autorifle for that matter in pvp? Fix the overall gun balance before tweaking individual guns, because right now there is no point to use a primary that isnt an auto-rifle in the crucible. The gun wasnt unstoppable, it had flaws and was easily outgunned by a suros regime. You are just salty and blame your lack of skill on a mythic gun that a very small percentage of people have. Id also refrain from calling anyone else naive, especially when you dont even know how to properly use "your" and "you're", you uncultured peasant. This man made a beautiful post which commentates not so much on the gun itself but the precedent bungie set with this recent hotfix. This obviously went over your head. Have you ever heard the term "cutting off the nose to spite the face"? You're too foolish to realize you had a hand in taking out the only real motivating reward for aspiring to and eventually completing current endgame content.
