Try to explain how the Vex wasn't OP as shit.
4 shot kill to the body. 3 shots to the head. Super fast fire rate. In a month everyone will have the raid completed on hard, and PvP AND PvE would just be a Vex fest because it was literally the best primary in the game. How the hell are people actually trying to justify this weapon?
EDIT: Bungie called/calls Destiny a competitive game. The Crucible (besides Iron Banner) is advertised as a level playing field. The Mythoclast was NOT balanced, and it took a lot of the competitiveness out of the game. Of course it needed a nerf. It WAS NOT BALANCED. No matter how you got it, it was OP. PERIOD.
EDIT: If you owned the Vex pre-patch and DIDN'T have it equipped, you were doing your team a disservice (outside of the VERY FEW situations where Icebreaker was better simply because of range).

Vex was op in pvp ok in pve. Now it's good for pvp and terrible for pve.

My Red Death is a 2-burst headshot kill, 3-4 bursts to body. And I bought it off of a space crackhead for loose change I wasn't using. :D

7 RepliesDoesnt the last word kill like in 3-4 shots? Has a good fire rate? And decent at range just like the vex had? Better nerf that to. Or not since alot more players have the last word than the vex because its way easier to get. This is just 2 cents.

Mythoclast users got wrecked by other Fusion Rifle users, snipers, shottys, and hand cannons. I might not have a great KD in crucible, but I only lost a shootout ONCE against a mythoclast user. And I was using a hand cannon. Stop crying and learn to kill

It's not like you have to beat the raid on hard to get it or anything... You basically now get slapped in the face :) because you've just [hopefully legitimately, everyone who earned it else wise just needs to have the gun removed from their inventory :)] beat the hardest content in the game on hard, and bungie gives you a peashooter for your efforts.

3 RepliesEveryone seems to be very confused on what the stats are now. The Suros has a base damage of 29 while the vex has a base damage of 27.(both after patch) the vex has a critical damage of 41 while the Suros has a critical damage of 36.(both after patch) this means the vex is in the 5 to 8 shot kill range and the Suros is in the 6 to 7 kill shot range. This makes both guns very even unless you are able to get 5 critical hits with the vex every time. And even if you do your only killing one shot faster than the Suros.(again These stats are both after the patch)

My friend and I ran into an enemy team a few days ago where their top player had vex mytho and we had no problem taking him down and winning the match

Def op for pvp, i wish they just disallowed it for pvp use, as in pve it blows. Hope they give a pve buff as im switching back to a handcannon primary now

I got it recently for beating the hard raid- once you get some stability aka the first upgrade... Oh man. I believe owning one that it needed a nerf. That says something.

12 RepliesI don't think anyone is saying it wasn't a god gun. I think they were saying that it could be out gunned, but based on player skill and map knowledge. And if everyone has it in a month, then why would it matter? The sheer overpopulation of the weapon would have made it balanced since everyone had one. It would be going back to the good ole Bungie days where everyone had the same gun and the outcome of the game was based on player skill. Personally, I have not completed the raid on hard. I know that it is a complete pain in the ass if you don't abuse exploits. The guys/gals that received this as a reward should have the privileged of being able to smash some face for their hard work. Before anyone says anything in response, know that I have been both destroyed by this gun and I have out-shot the player using it.

11 Replieshand cannons were 3 shots to the head to kill/2 shots to body 1 head. Noone complained. longer ranged weapons dominated it. people with fusion rifles/shotguns always ended up killing me with it, so how is it OP Again?
