It's so confusing when someone joins a fireteam with a female character and ends up being a dude (*cue Aerosmith*).
Do they all just want the D? But seriously, can any guys who do this shed some light on.. why?
I feel like someone pulled an Oprah, "You get a female warlock, and YOU get a female warlock! Everyone gets female warlocks!"
Edit: Jesus H. Christopher, I'm curious. I've noticed this quite often since I started playing, and I can't answer this question for myself, so I wanted some insight. inb4more "why do you even caaaaare?!!1!?!?"
Edit again: holy -blam!-, I'm a girl. Hence why I don't have insight to why this happens.
Edit, take three: thanks to everyone who gave a legitimate answer! I appreciate the insight :-)

For me personally, my titan happened because after my hunter came out looking like Spock I was experimenting with female options, something hit me on the shoulder and I freaked the -blam!- out, accidentally confirming when I was trying to see the options for a Male awoken. I have done it before in other games though, and I think it just comes down to making the character what you want. That's actually one of the few common double standards against men in the gaming community if you ask me; I've never seen an instance of a female being asked their reasoning or being judged for creating or playing a male character, though I'm sure it's happened. Meanwhile all the stuff you see relating to the other way around. Some people will do it for perverse reasons but some just don't care too much because it's a game and some other people may just want to RP, and all of that goes both ways. So I'd say that for a lot of male players, you can answer that question with "pretty much the same reasons you might play a male character."
